Did Musk Choose Drugs Over His Dignity? [1]

I was curious and looked up what happened the day before Elon Musk bowed down and prostrated himself at the throne of our mad king. Turns out, Steve Bannon was threatening him with the idea of launching a special counsel to take away his security clearances and investigate his drug use.
I’ve known a few drug addicts in my time. It’s always interesting how when their behavior has become intolerable, the threat of an intervention can get drug addicts to pretty quickly change their tune on almost anything except the actual drug use, at least in the short term.
After all, for most addicts it’s the habit that comes first. It always comes first. Dignity is a very very distant concern. I can’t say if that’s Musk’s situation or not, but it’s certainly an interesting series of events and it suggests Musk may not have been very confident in the outcome of any special investigation in that regard.
