Walmart Heiress Christy Walton runs ad encouraging No Kings Day protests [1]

76-years old Walmart heiress Christy Walton, whose net worth is around $19.3 billion, paid for this full page ad in the New York Times on Sunday. And as expected, MAGA world is blowing gaskets, calling for boycotts of Walmart nationwide.
The ad calls for people to mobilize for No Kings Day on June 14 and lays out 8 principles that define us -
We are a people of principle and honor.
We honor our commitments and stand by our allies.
We defend against aggression by dictators.
We uphold and defend the Constitution.
We care for veterans and children.
We respect our neighbors and trading partners.
We support a healthy national and international economy, community, and environment.
We are the world leader trusted to uphold the stability of rule of law. We are the people of the United States of America.
The honor, dignity, and integrity of our country is not for sale.
Our government is of the people, by the people, for the people.
She ran the same ad in other newspapers over the past week.
She has paid for similar ads without the "NO KINGS" line in a few other newspapers including the NYT in March, encouraging people to “Show up, attend town halls, and be civil.”

Walton was a Kamala Harris supporter and she is one of a small number of billionaires to speak out against trump.

www.forbes.com/… points out that “despite having a notable stake in Walmart, Christy Walton has never had any role in running the retailer.” She does not speak for Walmart. She does not serve on the board or play any role in decision making at Walmart.
In the current state of the nation, where almost all billionaires lavishly support the GOP and trump, Christy Walton is one among few whose wealth has not twisted her values and who is not afraid to speak out against fascism and trumpism. We welcome her support; let’s do all we can to support her. She will certainly be a target of the hyenas and the flying monkeys that infest the other party.
