in the previous wee or so we had a spirited debate about language and how to use it effectively in political messaging. One of the big topics was “oligarchs” vs. “billionaires” for the primary description of the rich who are benefiting while the rest of us suffer. Well, as the BBB heads to the senate, it seems that the political messaging folks have chosen. Billionaires it is. As shown in the link from Electoral-vote.com, three ads in three states, Iowa, targeting Earnst; NC, targeting Tillis; and Maine, targeting Collins, all opted for “billionaires” in there brief ads against the BBB. I think it works. What do you think?
