Astoria (where Trump’s trying to close a Job Corps center) is the oldest city in Oregon, and one of the oldest in the Pacific Northwest. it’s where Lewis and Clark finally found the ocean on their journey. And it’s on a peninsula projecting into a bay (the Columbia estuary, actually), so It’s kinda a tiny San Francisco.

It even has an iconic bridge.

And they get views like this every day.
