Trump, The Destoyer [1]

Once upon a time our leaders, our government, and we as a nation, were builders. Our founders created a democratic government 250 years ago that set the stage for building and innovation. Our country built things that no other country could: the Panama Canal, a military that defeated theNazis and Japan, and the Saturn V rockets that went to the moon. Our leaders built research institutions, a higher education system that attracted the best and brightest, and a judicial system and a health system to protect our citizens.
Now everything has changed. The country is currently lead by an ego-eccentric President who only wants to destroy. Trump is willing to destroy our institutions, freedoms, economy, and ideals. But the worst loss is the destruction of people's lives. Mass layoffs of loyal government employees, cutting Medicaid, Medicare,and Social Security, and sending families back to terrible countries will affect millions of people. Canceling programs that support mental and medical research and gutting the Veterans Administration will shorten people's lives.
Trump lives in a reality television world created by a Hollywood producer where he has absolute authority. As we are now seeing, it is much easier to tear down than to build. He has assembled a group of fellow destroyers and has taken control of a complacent and willing Republican Party and the federal government. Trump will sacrifice the lives and well-being of millions for personal power and the enrich of the wealthy. Who would have thought that our democracy and government were so fragile?
