Well, at least the vaccine is approved. Even with some limitations. But Moderna lists some advantages to its new formulation of the Covid vaccine, including being refrigerator stable, not needing the elaborate supercold storage.
Long Covid is fairly common in Medicare records. But more doses of vaccine means less chance of getting it.
Most children who had MISC-C recover within two years, catching up to their peers. The worst cases still show deficits in executive function.
Oh, did we forget about deer? Ohio testing found Alpha and Omicron strains of Covid circulating in white-tailed deer, long after Alpha has disappeared from the human population.
In total, 12.3% of 519 swabs tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. Four of the 10 sites yielded positive samples, with prevalences of 6.5% to 50.0%, the latter of which was from a site next to a highly populated residential area.

Valley fever may be far more prevalent than reported. This is a fungal lung infection spread by spores released by disturbed soil.
Sierra Leone is having a major mpox ongoing outbreak, Ethiopia reports its first mpox death, in an infant. Vaccines are being shipped in, but the situation is considered a "health emergency of continental concern".
Three human cases of tularemia in Nebraska, when there were only 6 cases in the previous ten years, is a concerning anomaly.
Tularemia is caused by a bacterium (Francisella tularensis) spread via tick and deer-fly bites or contact with infected animals. Symptoms include fever, headache, swollen glands, and skin ulcers at the site of the bite.
Stay safe out there.
