47's plan for the United States when he's history. Surprise! There is none. [1]

What does 47 see in his head when he imagines the future of the world? Like me and my spouse, 47 won’t be around much longer, because--mortality. We might make it another 20 years or so, but beyond that we’re not players.

Knowing this to be true, my spouse and I planned carefully and worked very hard so our kids would be able to survive and adapt. They would have skills, knowledge and some capital to build on. We always voted for “progress,” meaning freedom, necessities AND opportunities for all. We thought that humans were gradually becoming more civilized. We knew there was enough for all, if we could improve how we shared.

Does 47 even think about the future after his little tantrum of a life is over? It’s difficult for any human ego to truly grasp that everything doesn’t stop when we die. It all goes on without us. Most of us take comfort in that. We like to think of future people continuing to enjoy life’s pleasures, coming up with great new ideas, and solving problems we couldn’t. Can 47’s ego begin to grasp that?

He’s trying to make the position of President far more powerful and free of constraints than the Constitution allows. He’s unbalancing government and attempting to make himself a “strong man.” He assumes he will succeed. If he does, whom does he think will grab the wheel when his sclerotic circulatory system seizes up? Even after his term is over, 47 can continue deforming what used to be the Republican Party by the sheer density of his presence, like a white dwarf star. But he can only be president for 3 years and eight more months. Someone else is going to inherit all that power.

Does 47 think the seducer of settees, the snuffer of popes, J.D. Vance, can be elected president? Does he think any of his Fox News friends can incite the same idolatrous support he gets from MAGAs, who want a mean bully in charge because it normalizes bullying?

I’m convinced he doesn’t care. He doesn’t think about it. For him, all life on the planet ceases when he gets bulldozed into the ground beside Ivana for his dirt nap. It was worth it to degrade and destroy millions of innocent lives so he could be revenged and enriched for a few years. It was worth damaging the environment horribly so sycophants would praise him briefly.

Politics tends to go in cycles, like a pendulum swinging back and forth. It’s likely a Democrat will win the Presidency and make it their mission to use 47’s curated powers to undo everything 47 did. Do I think 47 cares? Nope. All the changes he claims to care about are being done for instant applause, attention, punishment and grift. If he thought he was ushering the U.S. into an era of the cruelest communism, or the wokest socialism, or turning it into Gilead, or into a failed country wracked by guerilla warfare, he wouldn’t care. But he doesn’t think.

I don’t believe he can visualize a world without him in it, while for us it’s our dearest dream.
