So Abrego Garcia has been charged with transporting individuals present without status within the United States. I'm uncertain about the particulars of the indictment, but evidently he was compensated for doing so.
The horror. The horror.
Mind you, there is no direct evidence he did any of this, let alone did so knowingly, or that he was compensated, other than the word of some guy in the hoose-gow for human trafficking. Smoking gun that.
Uber drivers beware. Be sure to inquire as to the status of your fares. I guess a real ID driver's license will suffice, but you might want to insist upon a passport, green card, or birth certificate to be sure. In the case of the latter, insist on the original or a certified copy.
Abbott and DeSantis also engaged in trafficking individuals who entered without inspection and sought asylum, but don't let that asylum thing fool you. We know it's a ruse, a fig leaf. They were all illegals and those two knew it.
Not to worry. They were doing God's work of sending the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of teeming shores to Blue state golden doors. They get a pass.
The companies that they paid to traffick them? I dunno. What have they done for TACO Belle lately? They might want to buy up some TACO Belle Coin to hedge their bets.
