Trump talks to the New York Post first about Musk [1]

The call to the New York Post was ostensibly about polling numbers and jobs reporting, but he said a couple of things relating to the feud with Musk.
"Nothing catches me by surprise. Nothing."
Oh, I seriously doubt that. A week ago TACO was giving Musk a golden key to the White House in an ornate box. Possibly journalists and book authors like Michael Wolff saw it coming, but Trump didn't have a clue.
The blowup over the Big Ugly Bill started before Elon's exit, but Trump didn't know how far Musk would go.
"He knew the bill as well as anybody."
At 1,100 pages, nobody knew everything in the bill. Even MTG said she missed two pages about AI and states being prohibited from making laws about it for 10 years. A number of other Congresspeople have said they missed important points, many because they hadn't even read the bill.
"The bill is great. It's going to pass, but the bill is great, and it's going to be great for everybody, including him. And you see it now. And take a look at what happened today with the job numbers. They're through the roof and the stock market's up already 600 points."
"This is what I do for a living, OK?
I've never heard Trump say that about being president. What he does for a living is using the presidency to line his pocket.
Trump also talked to Dana Bash of CNN Friday morning. Who called whom we don't know, but Trump said, "I'm not even thinking about Elon. He's got a problem. The poor guys got a problem." Dana asked him if Trump was willing to bury the hatchet with Musk, and Trump said no, at least, not right now. She asked, "No call with Elon now?" "No, I won't be speaking to him for a while. But I wish him well."
The Post also put together a timeline of yesterday's events and the dialogue about each other starting when Trump was talking with the German chancellor in the Oval Office. A lot of stuff we all may have missed because there was so much of it.
The fight goes on.
