Tucker Carlson as the Voice of Reason over Nuking Gaza?!? [1]

Shortly after the horrific murder of two Israeli diplomats at the Capital Jewish Museum by a Palestinian ‘activist last month,’ the newly elected Republican Congressman from southern Florida, Randy Fine, took to the airwaves to announce that the only “solution” to the whole Israel vs Hamas conflict was to nuke Gaza!
Since then, the only person on the MAGA side of the political spectrum that has apparently been willing to openly criticize the genocidal congressman for his utterly abhorrent viewpoint is perhaps our least favorite puffy-faced pundit, Tucker Carlson himself. Mediaite:
Tucker Carlson tore into Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) during a recent episode of his online show, going so far as to call Fine “evil” and questioning how he has not been expelled from the Republican Party. “Congressman Randy Fine of Florida. And he said this the other day on Fox News last week, quote: “In World War II, we did not negotiate a surrender with the Nazis. We did not negotiate a surrender with the Japanese. We nuked the Japanese twice in order to get unconditional surrender. That needs to be the same here in Gaza. There is something deeply wrong with this culture, and it needs to be defeated.” So we’re going to nuke Gaza, because of its culture,” began Carlson, who was speaking with veteran journalist Glenn Greenwald. ... I didn’t believe that was real. I didn’t really think he was a member of Congress, I texted a friend of mine,” Carlson continued... [I]s this really a member of Congress? It’s like, I don’t even know what to say to that. But that, first of all, it’s evil. But how can you say something like that and not get expelled from Congress or the Republican party? How can that person be a member of the Republican Party? I don’t understand,” insisted Carlson.
Short answer? Because he was the Trump-endorsed candidate to replace Mike Waltz in the House when he was selected to be Trump’s National Security Advisor, and we all know how well that worked out.
“[H]is entire political existence is centered around a foreign country, which is Israel, not the United States. He barely ever talks about the United States,” Greenwald said. “So that’s ‘America First?’” fumed Carlson. Later in the conversation, Carlson says, “But I don’t know that I can support a party with someone like Randy Fine in it. I don’t understand, like, how could someone like, Randy Fine, I mean, that’s so disgusting.”
Granted, Carlson has never been all that fond of Israel to begin with, but at least he’s willing to call out a MAGA minion over this. The entire 10-minute interchange with Greenwald from Tucker’s podcast can be viewed from the above Mediaite link for those who can actually stomach listening to either of them, though I won’t even pretend it’s a particularly worthwhile use of your time.
