TACO bans entry from 12 countries, restricts another 7 [1]

Trump signed three documents Wednesday. No one else was present. He's still hiding, especially since Musk trashed the Big Ugly Bill. He did show up for a "Summer Soiree" on the South Lawn to thank his political appointees. It was just a speech covering all the latest talking points. Already heard many times before.
One document Trump signed was a travel ban, called: Restricting The Entry Of Foreign Nationals To Protect The United States From Foreign Terrorists And Other National Security And Public Safety Threats. I think that sets the record for the longest title of anything on WhiteHouse.gov.
Total bans are for Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Iran, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
Restrictions and limits are on Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.
Marco Rubio gave Trump a report and Trump based his decision on that.
Afghanistan because of the Taliban and Iran just because. All of the others were visas overstays, incompetent passport issuance, lack of law enforcement information on individuals, flood of refugees from Haiti, Somalia's lack of control of terrorists, Yemen because they have no control over their own territory.
The countries restricted or limited are the visa overstays and other causes like the banned countries.
"It's President's sacred duty to take action to ensure that those seeking to enter our country will not harm the American people."
I think you've got to be a mind reader to be able to do that. He's just going after those most likely to be problematic. Afghanistan and Iran, I'm all for barring them. But what about all those people in Afghanistan who worked with the United States military, and we left behind? I can't remember anything about the Biden Administration doing anything to get those people out. Maybe they couldn't. Asking Trump is probably out of the question.

When the headline is "Making America Safe Again," you know it's an excuse for doing what he wanted to do anyway. Just like the Muslim travel ban he signed at the start of his first term.
Trump tries to make the case that this is for national security, and maybe he gets away with Afghanistan and Iran, and adequate reasoning on Somalia and Yemen, but all the rest are just unadorned racism. Only white South African Afrikaners need apply.
