Ro Khanna Suggests We Recruit Elon Musk (Seriously, he really did) [1]

I like to be positive about the Democratic Party. I like to talk about the Party’s historical accomplishments, the programs that have done so much for the country, especially the working class, starting with Social Security through Medicare through the Civil Rights Act through the ACA through to the Inflation Reduction Act that invested significantly in Green Energy. I like to promote Democrats who are doing an exceptional job fighting back against the Trump regime — like Melanie Stansbury, Shontel Brown, Lauren Underwood, Jasmine Crockett, Jim McGovern, and Yassamin Ansari.
But, man, there are some Democrats who I just don’t get.
First on that list is Ro Khanna. I’ve never completely trusted him. There’s more Tulsi Gabbard to him than Jasmine Crockett, in my view. He’s liked in certain sectors of the Party but honestly I don’t understand that anymore than I understood the people who thought John Fetterman was a good choice.
Ro Khanna, after all, is the guy who went on Fox in 2021 touting his friendship with Matt Gaetz. They described their wonderful friendship as a welcome alternative to the partisanship of the day.
I’m not posting this here because I think you should watch it. Please don’t, it’s gross. But, just to show that, yes, this really happened.
Just a month after telling reporters that they like to “hang out”, reports linking Gaetz to drug use, and sex with underage girls emerged. Suddenly Ro Khanna insisted it wasn’t really a friendship, they just agreed on a couple of things. uk.news.yahoo.com/…
Today, Ro Khanna struck again.
While many on this site were revelling in the suddenly red hot Trump/Musk fight, Ro Khanna had a much different reaction.
He went on Elon Musk’s site, the site formerly known as Twitter, said something dumb. Then doubled down and said something even dumber.
x If Biden had a big supporter criticize him, Trump would have hugged him the next day. When we refused to meet with @RobertKennedyJr, Trump embraced him & won. We can be the party of sanctimonious lectures, or the party of FDR that knows how to win & build a progressive majority.

It’s not bad enough that Ro Khanna wants to work with a man who is a racist, misogynist, anti-trans fascist. It should be, but it’s not. He then suggests we should have met with anti-vax conspiracy theorist Robert Kennedy Jr. Because apparently only the party of “Sanctimonious Lectures” thinks that being a fascist, or attacking the vaccines that have saved millions of kids lives, is something that should keep people out of the Democratic Big Tent.
