3 months ago Josh at TPM wrote an editorial about “the Threat of the Over-Mighty Subject.”
..when I was still part of the academic world, one recurrent topic was that of “over-mighty subjects.”...The term referred to subjects of the Crown who were themselves so powerful that they threatened the sovereign power of the Crown itself. They might command more wealth...They might command retinues that verged on private armies notwithstanding their notional obedience to the King.

Well in todays editorial it looks like “Thunderdome” has started.
..the Elon-Trump feud is real...the back and forth social media salvos in which Trump has threatened to terminate Musk’s companies’ contracts. Musk...claims Trump is in the “Epstein Files”.
Maybe, as pointed out by Mr. Marshall the Convicted Felon and the Ketamine Kid will avoid mutually assured destruction and signal a detente. OTOH we are dealing with ego’s the size of the National debt. The Orange POS sees relationships as only one way, the Dominator and the dominated. Either you grovel, apologize and subject yourself to ritual humiliation or the TACO man will destroy you.
