Welcome to the Street Prophets Coffee Hour cleverly hidden at the intersection of religion, art, science, food, and politics. This is an open thread where we can share our thoughts and comments about the day. One of the events at the Two Rivers Medieval Faire held in the Chelan County Expo Center in Cashmere, Washington was jousting presented by the Seattle Knights. Jousting first began as a martial game in tenth-century England. Jousting, which involves two horseriders wielding lances, is one of the iconic characteristics of the knight in Romantic Medievalism. Since the 1970s, jousting reenactors have revived the game. Shown below are some of the horses used in this event.
