Not long ago I came across this YouTube video by Joe Scott covering the topic of “Accelerationism”:

‘Accelerationism’, a rather unwieldy word bordering on phonetic collapse, was chosen to tag the concept that when a result seems inevitable, it might prove beneficial to speed up the process of its arrival. en.wikipedia.org/...
In this case, there are those who predict impending societal collapse and feel that it is in their best interests for this happen before it proves to be totally irreparable. Of coarse theses shits plan to bogart the ‘benefits’ by riding out the storm, while banking on the chance that there would be something left with which to start over.
On the face of it, there appears to be wisdom in this.
For example, there is a point past which badly neglected infrastructure is better dealt with by demolition and replacement, instead of vainly attempting to maintain or repair it.
However, in circumstances of abusive usage and neglect during occupancy, allowing catastrophe to act as the agent of ‘renewal’, is homicidal stupidity of the first magnitude.
Just ask the surviving residents of Surfside, the Florida condominium high-rise that collapsed for these reasons — while still occupied.
Clearly the most beneficial course for society and the environment lays in regular maintenance, but we’ve long since blown past that option, necessitating radical intervention on a global scale. Although catastrophic collapse appears to be looming, it’s in our best interests to see if we can avoid the worst case scenario, rather than speed it up. And the best way to do this as individuals is through curbing personal consumption daily and supporting movements like No-Buy-Friday.

Think of our world as a leaky ship adrift in an endless fathomless ocean, briming over, above and below deck, with barely manageable, incommodious passengers, while running short of supplies and potable water and badly in need of repairs due to human stupidity and rapacious overuse — while the situation becomes more desperate by the day.
This is the straits our world finds itself in.
There are those who think they have a solution — one that will save them, but not the rest of us.
They project their flaws onto us and to a great extent, through our own actions, we provide a mirror that reassures them in their judgment. Our preposterous numbers alone, condemn us in their eyes — and from what they see, we are destroying the world, not them.
Who can blame them for profiting off of the inevitable?
Nevertheless, these are the very ‘helmsmen’ that are proceeding to get us shipwrecked, while they remove planks and timber to build pleasure barges.
Oligarchs are masters of money manipulation, and they gain wealth through co-opting the assets of the collective. This nefarious and skilled mass purloining, both drains money away from everyone else, while simultaneously employing various means to make use of what money the ‘others’ have managed to hold onto.
Political influence and control; wealth favoring ‘money marketing’ and rigged investment ‘opportunities’; consumer baiting and media brainwashing; as well as credit debt and the various methods for farming it, play a large part in this ‘sport’.
So it is not just the disparity between their vast wealth and the pittance of ‘those who have not’, that degrades the bond of human commonalities, but also the mindset formed by these predatory actions, leading the wealthy to view their prey as logs to be tossed on the fire of their perfidy.
We are like aphids, but unlike the ‘shepard’ ants who know enough to tend to and protect their source of nectar, Olilgarchs have long since crossed the boundary that guards the rights of ‘others’ from being annihilated by their lust for profit. Their ‘Godhead’ makes them think that they can cull the source of their ‘golden eggs’ because their omnipotence raises them above, and thus shields them from, the petty consideration of consequences. As viewed from their ‘tilted’ throne, doubt served only to inhibit them from achieving their goals sooner and if they were ever subject to it at all, they’ve long since cast it aside.

There are far too many cooks in this current manifestation of hell’s kitchen, all adding their own ego-toxified ingredients to this fetid stew called the demise of democracy.
Tearing the country apart, does not serve the long-term interest of oligarch’s, unless they already see societal self-destruction as inevitable, and so choose pulling down the supports of society as the ‘best’ method for self-enrichment and ‘survival’.
Indeed, at times it seems the ‘Bitcoin brats’ are burning down the country to hold a ‘fire sale’ — for many of the actions by the ‘musk-e-tyrants’ cast shades of corporate raiding. Carpetbaggers and con-men, thrive on chaos, so it may be that they’re cutting up the rug to carry-off plunder.
Clearly the proponents of ‘acceleration’ provide ample reasons for us to question their competence for handling it.
After all, these ‘spoilagarchs’ could choose to throw their resources and over-lauded skills into mitigating environment collapse and social inequality, thus helping to support collective stability and establish general sustainability. Sadly for all of us, their greed and mental myopia blind them to the many ways this would improve their life experience as well.
Curbing all forms of exploitation would be the first step, but as ‘squeezing’ is the modis opporande wherein their ‘genius’ resides, they’re not about to throw that door open.
Better to suggest a gigolo cut off his dick as a means for self-improvement.
History has brutally taught us, that when humans metamorpihize into ‘gods’, they rarely think of the common good (if they ever did in the first place). A ‘super-nova’ of wealth enhanced ego, creates the alt-reality wherein such deities reside — effectively severing contact with ‘mere mortals’. This is ‘othering’ on a galactic scale and those left behind become ‘expendable’ — literally.
The corporation, as a self-determining ‘hive’, adopted this pathology at is inception. Non-Euopean countries became prey, while the practice of commerce was left unfettered by morality. Those who stood in the way of profit were often cut down — ruthlessly. This ‘good for business’ omnipresent priority still thrives in the tobacco industry and has reached sub-levels of Hell, Dante couldnt conceive of, in the fossil fuel industry.
Our technocratic overlords are the current ‘queen-bees’ to rule over this foul extrusion from humanities darkest ‘orifice’ — the progenitor, from which the blight of capitalism has sprung — flinging shit, far and wide…
…and we the consumer, are the worker bees that keep these monsters ‘groomed’ and well fed.
We feed them the ‘royal gel’ of ‘Caesarean profit’, cut from the collective womb — elevating them to such heights that we appear as dust. From such altitude the future appears to be their’s alone as they’ve seduced themselves into thinking we no longer warrent any part in it — unless it suits them.
They have let us die off in the Pandemic, have cut life-saving aid to millions overseas and now life sustaining medical support for 40 million American ‘other-poor’. …and they’ve just gotten started.

…I had not heard about “accelerationism”, and so made the assumption that these ‘tombs’ were for the purpose of riding out an environmental apocalypse. This seemed so ill-conceived from a survival standpoint, that I could only attribute the rationale behind it, to the blindness ‘super ego’ has to long-term cause and effect. I now see things differently.
The very wealthy succumb rapidly to the delusion that they can control all manners of events — and that their wealth inoculates them from suffering any ill-effects of those they cannot.
After all, what are they if not the gods of our techno superior world? — and does not such power make them in vulnerable?
And so, it might appear from this that the guarded compounds and bunkers they build are to protect them from the desperate mob humanity may become as these ‘gods’ accelerate the winnowing process in a delusional attempt to ensure that when the ‘vermin’ have been exterminated, they and their superior blood-line will beneficently endow Gaia with a (Fools)Golden Age — or so they choose to think.
These ‘fooligarches’ are either in denial about environmental degradation or have chosen to ignore it while they focus on promoting the collapse of society as a means for dealing with it.
The problem here being that their gauge isn’t made for measuring the magnitude of the collapse they will actually face through the auspices of ‘accelerationism’. Although conveniently pushed behind their pursuit of wealth and dreams of world conquest, their calculations fall apart with the exclusion of ‘sum-zero-endgame’ from the equation.
For while it’s likely that societal collapse could bring about the lowering of CO2 to sustainable levels, with an attendant collapse of infrastructure and the onset of chaos, other necessary measures for correcting environmental damage will likely be gutted.
In either case it’s more likely that the bunkers they’re building are meant to provide shelter during the chaos that would ensue, rather than tombs to retire to when environmental collapse makes surface living impossible.
Although this may seem like paranoia to those too kind hearted to conceive of such things, ruthlessly snuffing us has precedent and falls well within the ‘culligarch’ resume. Millions have been thinned out in oil wars, and for the desirability of cars that don’t ‘knock’, millions more.

Palestinians, Ukrainians, Russians and others are being war-erased. America’s toxic food supply, sold wrapped in more toxicity, to be consumed in a toxic environment, helps broaden this slaughter, as does a climate gone rogue. Millions, if not billions will soon crowd the conveyor belt to oblivion, like so much cattle shoved down slaughter shoots. When profit is concerned, the pain and suffering of the multitudes is simply a necessary evil inconvenient annoyance.

You have to be seriously sociopathic to horde money to the Everest-class elevations attained by our current crop of atavistic billionaires. They adeptly turn a blind eye to the suffering all around them with the flexibility of contortionists.
Many have acquired great wealth because their sociopathic character can clear the playing field of obstacles like empathy and morality.
It’s a fundamental character of the sociopathic that they think they’re smarter than everyone else, which grows from the survival imperative of competition, as imbedded in the male ego.
This supercharges ‘othering’, making it a short step from feeling that everyone is cognitively beneath you, to stepping on them like bugs.
Man has punctuated his existence with highly creative techniques for exterminating his own species to pursue the fulfillment of egotismagorical dreams. Putin is doing so now, along with Netanyahu and such behavior has always been held to be intractably human — cloaked as it is by the threadbare robes of ‘honor’ and ‘necessity’.
‘Accelerationism’ is so misguided as a viable option in this wealth-serving iteration, that rather than throw all their efforts into curbing consumption and environmental collapse, they instead put all their techno eggs in a basket woven from ‘self-fluffing’. This delusional surety invests innovation with omnipotent powers, making it appear to brim over with failsafe solutions capable of neutering Armageddon. They evidently have not realized their own cognitive dissonance in simultaneously thinking that they can push society off a cliff, but somehow still managed to keep industry up and running to produce these technological marvels conceived by their greed-ignorant overheated imaginations.
They should be so lucky.
The Pluto-cratic orbit they move in, is so far out there, that the light of reason fails to illuminate truth… or they would know that, with a mad king, the spectra of defenestration looms.
No-Buy-Friday is more humane.
