Diabetes News Survey [1]

['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.']

Date: 2025-06-04

These posts are generally about a specific advance in diabetes treatment, but today I am instead giving you a roundup of a variety of recent news. Each of these stories is important, but I can’t do them all justice treating them one a week. So instead I will just bring them to your attention, and let you dive into the links to whatever is most important to you. Let us know what that is, please. I would also be pleased if someone else stepped up to write on such topics for this group.

Note that all of these notes come from my Diabetes list on Bluesky, which is becoming a better and better source of all kinds of information all the time. It is also attracting more and more influencers, and refugees from Facebook, Twitter, and elsewhere, and in general moving from strength to strength.

This next study is hot stuff. Now tell us how AID can help with T2D. I would be happy to have such an implant if it meant no more shots and better control. With FDA approval and Medicare coverage, of course, and whatever assistance others need.

x Automated insulin delivery (AID) systems improve blood glucose control in type 1 #diabetes, as is shown in a current study. The meta-analysis, which evaluated 46 clinical studies with 4,113 participants, is the most comprehensive study of its kind. #Diabetes #Insulin

I can’t take metformin. It gives me horrendous diarrhea. I’m happy for those who can.
