The problem is we don’t think we have the numbers [1]

We have all heard it time and time again “There are more of us, then there are of them” but do we really believe that? That’s my question today. Because, when I suggest locking the country down or protesting every day, I get push back like “what if I lose my job” “what about maga?” and stuff like that. Why? Because deep down we’re not really sure we got the numbers.

I’ll say it again, it’s the citizenry that overthrows a regime, once it’s in power. The opposition (dems) have little to no power (they don’t have the numbers) as is witnessed by the fact that the regime is ignoring even judges orders. They can talk; that’s about it. And getting mad at me and saying “We elected them!” isn’t going to change the numbers in the house or the senate. Using republican tactics, might slow or delay certain things but it’s not going to have much effect either. And waiting for 2026… well that’s an even bigger risk in my opinion.

I’m pretty certain that eventually you’ll take to the streets in a more robust manner, I’m just afraid that you’re waiting for the proverbial poop to hit the fan before doing so, and well fixing a broken bone is tougher than fixing a sprain. Because if Universities crumble, if companies close, if the judicial system fails, if the US is fully isolated from the rest of the world… by the time you rise up… it will not be easy to fix those broken bones, or should I say shattered?

Now I favor the shutting down method, because it is safer but at the same time causes more disruption. Staying home also has advantages, no babysitters, food is right there, no police, no risk of intruders creating chaos, also no firings… can you really imagine companies firing over ½ their work force? But I gather that’s where the lack of faith in the numbers raises its ugly head.

In the back of your mind there’s that little voice that is not so sure that the non-voters are really on your side right? I understand for like I said I’m not sure either but for different reasons. But something needs to happen before it’s too late, in case it has escaped noticed, control measures are being strapped all around you, I’m pretty sure you have that’s part of the reason the fear is growing.

June 14th, is just around the corner, so I’m pretty sure most are waiting to see how that protest is going to go. Who knows maybe the numbers will be impossible to ignore, maybe it will reach the tipping point we’re all waiting, and maybe all my words would have been for naught… that’s okay I can live with that!
