Clinton Defends Biden’s Fitness: Dismisses Cognitive Decline Claims as Politically Motivated [1]

In case you missed this: In a CBS Sunday Morning interview, former President Bill Clinton rejected claims of President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, stating he has never walked away from an encounter with Biden thinking, “he can’t do this anymore.” Clinton addressed allegations from the book Original Sin by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, which cites anonymous aides claiming Biden showed signs of mental and physical deterioration. Though Clinton hasn’t read the book, he said his recent interactions with Biden showed him to be “in good shape” and fully capable. Clinton acknowledged Biden’s age as a consideration but emphasized that Biden was always “on top of his briefs.” He also dismissed the book’s claims as politically motivated, suggesting some are using it to shift blame for Donald Trump’s reelection.
