Dark MAGA, Thanatos, the Anti-capitalist Ruling Class? or Those that Bestow their Gifts Upon Us

Stockpiling

The stockpiling of the frozen trees

in the deep freeze of the earth

The stockpiling of dead animals

in the exhaust pipes of supersonic rockets

The stockpiling of desiccated plants

on the death root of an abscessed tooth

The stockpiling of the defoliants

in the pine forest of the skull

The stockpiling of aerosols

in the pink smoke of a human corpse

Stockpiles

of agent orange agent blue agent white acids

burning like the hot hoof of a race horse on

the tongue

Look at it

through the anti-bodies of the body

through the multiple vaccines belching in the veins

through the cross-infection of viruses

stockpiled in the mouth

through the benzine vapors shooting

into the muscles of the stars

through the gaseous bowels of military fantasies

through the white radiation of delirious dreams

Look

this stockpile marries that stockpile

to mix and release a double stockpile of fissions

exploding

into the shadows of disappearing space

Global incapacitations

Zero

and boom

This is the nuclear bleach of reality

the inflated thigh of edema

the filthy dampness in the scientific pants

of a peace prize

the final stockpile of flesh dancing in

the terrible whooping cough of the wind

And even if you think you have a shelter

that can survive this stockpiling

of communal graves

tell me

where are you going?

The New New - same as an Old Goodie?

Der Leader

…same as the old?

An innovator? Who expected that from a Nazi salute?

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Our comrade has given us an idea.

It remains hard for me to grapple with.

I’ve learned much since beginning this journey – wondering why the ruling class was allowing the destruction of new order global economy built so meticulously through 45 years of neoliberalism?

Why are these capitalists destroying capitalism?

So, they’re not simply capitalists, they’re fascist capitalists. I get that…

Does that mean…

Fascism, ultimately trumps everything.

Everything is political now…as if it never was.

So, what is going on?

This marketplace is losing relevance with the latest New World Order. Capitalism is dead.

Yanis Varoufakis describes the 2008 crisis shift from wage labor and what one might call a consumer marketplace to a more pre-capitalist rentiers’ economy with an infusion of banker capital to benefit emerging tech (as seen in the previous piece authored by annieli (— West is Collapsing) ).

As Yanis argues, this is not a market, but cloud capital.

Yet, there is a market of exchange that has always been a part of ruling power.

Are we recognizing something? We call them billionaires. The one percent.

The ruling class.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Power is never conspiratorial. It happens in the open. They all attend the same cocktail parties and go to the same operas…or rodeos as their contemporary taste allow. One of them can’t help rubbing shoulders with another and when the fancy strikes, one may offer a stock tip or other helpful service.

If I may digress for a moment (skip to the next section to skip this digression altogether). I’m a bit of a medieval hobbyist. Critical history no longer really recognizes the idea of feudalism. Modern works once held in high regard, like Marc Bloch’s Feudal Society, are no longer in fashion.

What is considered better terminology, something that better fits the entire European milieu during the dark ages and early Middle Ages of Europe – is “the gift giving society”. This was an entirely different and extraordinarily violent and martial society with three interdependent “estates” – those who work, those who pray, and those who fight.

Vows were used to seal everything and homage was central to agreements including the most important that a vassal would come to the lord in a time of need.

Production was agricultural, manorial, and used the 85% of the populace belonging to the peasant estate who did the work. A critical reason the notion of feudalism is no longer used is that the peasants’ condition varied by region, although by the Middle Ages very little slave labor was incorporated peasants could be land-bound serfs, land-bound peasants, or more mobile rent-paying and later even wage-earning varieties. These didn’t simply vary by epoch, but by region.

Serfdom was considered an improvement on slavery and slavery had proved too inefficient for European agricultural production. Not to say there was no slavery in Europe, but the primary source of agricultural labor were serfs or “freemen”.

Regardless, peasants very often owned little if anything. To support the lifestyle of their betters, they paid in a variety of ways. These betters were the martial families of the nobility that included both the castellans and the Church hierarchy. Land was owned by both Church and these propertied families.

In essence, and later very literally, Peasants were taxed in various ways to support one estate and tithed to support the other. So, they got it from all ends. Sound familiar?

Each estate bestowed upon the other their gifts. The workers gave their gift and received worldly protection from one estate and the path to otherworldly redemption from the other. Those that prayed benefited from work and from the nobility and so on. Anyway, that was the idea.

In practice, though, it was those that fought, the ruling nobles and their cohorts, who were the very ones that were most often not simply the protectors but the force of violence that the other estates needed to be protected from.

Medieval warfare was positional and most often practiced in the rural villages. Some noble or another was in a position (usually, of property or suzerainty) to provide “protection” for the village and an opposing noble would very often wage small-scale war on his rival.

Nobles rarely killed each other in combat. In fact, they avoided it and would rather capture the other noble, take his horse, armor and weapons and ransom the other knight for a chest of silver. The victor would expect the same if he were to be captured. Sort of nice-nice with one another despite the brutality of combat and society.

Get the idea?

Critical history prevalent at universities of late focuses medieval studies on the perspective of peasants, women, Jews, lepers, heretics, non-conformists and the like. Monumental history continues to offer the heavily documented histories written by the Church and the nobility. Both inquisitional records and tax records from Catalonia, Castile, Aragon and other Iberian kingdoms have helped reconstruct peasant life for contemporary historians of the Middle Ages.

In this gift giving society, small time warfare was common and everywhere. Large scale operations were almost unheard of until the High Middle Ages and the time of the Crusades and, even then, not as common as one might believe.

So, warfare was most commonly one noble or the other descending on an unarmed village, killing the men, raping the women and monks and burning the crops and/or the village to the ground. The opposing noble would then act - potentially doing the same to the opponent’s village.

When things became more concerted, fortified places would be defended and sieged by the noble castellans. These were generally small-scale, and would only involve entire communities or “cities” (usually of no more than a few thousand) when the uncommon larger-scale conflicts took place such as during the Crusades or other monarchical type wars that took place and became more regular in the Late Middle Ages.

In the Early Middle Ages, starting in the late 10th century, the Church attempted to quell some of this every day violence with the “Peace of God” movement that wanted to persuade the nobility to not use brutality to kill and maim women, children and monks or clergy.

This didn’t really take off, so they tried something a number of decades later in the 11th century called the “Truce of God” movement making some days starting with Sundays as days of rest from the violence. So much for that.

Chivalry, or rather the “idea” of chivalry, was another and was in continuous play throughout the High and Late Middle Ages to suggest to the powerful that they could be “righteous dudes” and defend the weak instead of stomping people pretty much at will. Like most powerful people, they likely told themselves and others that this was true in noble society even if it mostly was a romantic myth.

Seems being a righteous dude never goes out of style.

Eventually, one of the best tacks was called the Crusades. There was bound to be a couple of Popes, like Urban II, smart enough to figure that one out. Have these brutes go kill Muslim infidels, capture the “Holy Land” and get a free pass to heaven. Some of the most violent errants might even pick up some land and be rid of.

It worked out pretty good for a while, but the big one was when things really started to change economically during this crusading movement. With things like Mediterranean urbanization, lay literacy, and, of course, the rise of the merchant class and then this new artisan class, and, likely of prime importance as a harbinger of transformation, the 12th century renaissance (see Charles Homer Haskins’ great piece) with the injection of Islamic scholarship that eventually brought about the emergence of European Universities such as in Paris, Marseilles, Bologna, and at Cambridge and on to this burgeoning “High Middle Ages”.

This illumination traveled to Europe via Byzantium, Sicily and most especially Muslim-Christian-Jewish Spain. Although this enlightenment originated from the Muslim world a good amount of this knowledge was actually Aristotle (who had lost favor in Christendom to Plato thanks to Augustine) brought back to the western world through Arabic to (often Hebrew, then…) to Latin translations of the Greek.

Europe went from the “dark” of the early Middle Ages to the more complex and urbane illumination (in the southern climes early on) of the High Middle Ages. The Crusades opened trade and gave rise to Pisa, Venice and Genoa, the Italian proto-capitalist merchant states. Eventually, the late Middle Ages was taken by the Black Death, that likely accelerated Europe towards exploitative capitalism and colonization. This demographic shift gave rise to peasant and worker movements struggling for better conditions. Next thing you know, we are humanists of the Renaissance trading in slaves and stolen silver and stamping gold specie for the banks of Florence. On to the enlightenment, modernity and eventually industrialization.

The High Middle Ages (the middle of the middle) saw the transition of Europe from a gift giving order to something that allowed for mobility or the profit-taking society (actually called profit-giving but I prefer this more precise terminology). This was, of course, early-stage capitalism.

Are we witnessing a return to a gift-giving society? Personified with the great orange anti-pope of post-modernity? He bestows his many gifts even as his arms are filled with the fruits of our labor that we give in hopes of his succor. Note which foreign leaders receive his favoritism and which he attempts to humiliate…publicly. We need only kiss his blessed ring (or, as the case may be, his rotund ass) and shower him with favors. The end time fascist.

Purely what these cats are all hopped up on. Power.

666 —a ruling class dupe

The New Babylonian Captivity - This AI generated image was released by the President of the United States during the Catholic Cardinal’s conclave to elect a new Pope after the death of Pope Francis. You must draw your own conclusions as to its meaning.

Unleashing Chaos

If you haven’t already read Naomi Klein’s Guardian article on end times fascism, read this first: The Rise of End Times Fascism

Last weekend, our comrade, annieli, prepared us for this discussion.

So, read on for more on this topic if you believe it worth pursuing.

As the ruling class unleashes chaos, this can only be cast as life and death as it is exactly a matter of life or death. One faction now wishes to have us all exterminated. Further, it seems, the 1% wish to rely on their own exchange with their robot workers and a smattering of boot-lickers. This is to be the new transactional space useful to this new rentier economics that is fungible and managed through monopolized violence.

It also solves the phantasmal problem of demographics. What was formerly sanctified as The Final Solution appears to be making a comeback thanks to your friendly neighborhood Nazis.

Capitalism, has already transformed, or as Yanis states, it’s already dead. It has been a “financialized” shell game since 2008.

Power seems to be exerting itself fully in the political arena through this new “end-times fascism” as Naomi has coined it.

I’m test-driving this one: Techno-Nazis.

The new market is the financialized cloud capital that isn’t traditional wealth, but the power of information. It is the proletariat and the bourgeoise, it seems, freely emptying their pockets for the cloud lords in exchange for doing property’s labor for them.

Tomorrow it could be something else. Possibly crypto, but more likely that’s just what you’re supposed to believe before the rug gets pulled out from under your feet. Likely no matter which way you turn….

Catch up now….

What counts is power.

This has always been the power of property.

Our economy is being accelerated into irrelevance. This appears designed to do two things: first ensure the ruling class owns everything they can (make money going down and then buy cheap all while using monopolized violence to carve out resources at the state level) and second make us all entirely dependent on the ruling class for everything since they pretty much will own everything at that point (the first point).

Most disturbing is the fact we are strictly dependents at this point. The system, and that means the ruling class themselves, has always depended on dependency. They were dependent on this system, but, it seems, only as long as it was functioning….

The profit-taking economy of the Middle Ages provided some economic mobility even if it was highly restrictive. This was not an option during the earlier gift-giving economy with those of the noble families who occupied two estates and the 85% who were peasants being locked into their specific class. All to the powerful advantage of one and the brutal exploitation of the other.

In the gift-giving economy, all were dependents on the ruling class and its Church. All. They simply needed our labor. In our near future, it seems, there will be no need for our labor or our buying.

We are being made irrelevant.

…to Infinity and Beyond!

We each dream of a better world. Are we now seeing a twisted nightmare version of a newer and better world as envisioned by our genius masters sitting on their bullion piles? Separation from life and Mother Earth to an ecstatic heavenly furnace we have left in the wake of our modern failure?

A technological paradise?

Why indeed are they setting up the collapse of the market? Accelerating the fall of modern civilization – something already taking place, but now being hastened?

While we desire the end of capitalism and the colonialist world, we understand modernity must be “soft-landed” to mitigate suffering and the potential of death. It seems the accelerationists fully accept death and suffering as part of the package. In fact, when the accelerationists say, “bring it”, they must embrace death.

Let Darwin do his thing.

As Naomi knows, there is money to be made in collapse. Better, one can own the rest of the world and get it for crumbs. Forget the financialized shell game altogether. It wasn’t going to last long anyway, or as Yanis points out the game really is “up” now.

Should we expect working people to have to pay through austerity and through their tax dollars? Seems like that might have been a good question several generations ago, but not today. We know the answer to that.

Will working people be expected to bail out the failed capitalist economy so that billionaires can still get their foie gras, 15-year-old Scotch, and suede loafers? If they can’t pull it off, then what?

Deeper austerity and more death?

We need to face the truth.

Doesn’t look like they’ll do the go broke and print up more money thing for much longer though. Inflationary collapse seems imminent…

Or is it?

What do you believe?

Can we manage another year? Less…, or maybe two…??

Certainly, it doesn’t bode well for working people or anyone else who appreciates some modicum of health and security, not to mention poison-free air and water or a nurturing ecological environment in which to thrive.

We see it now in the current US administration – severe austerity coming soon. Lower taxes for corporations and the wealthy, have working people pay for it through significantly higher consumption costs due to this trade war and its tariffs (i.e. really a consumption tax directed at worker-consumers) and, of course, the reduction or elimination of programs designed to support only the most vulnerable citizens of the land who have become legion in number.

Rinse, repeat as often as you can, until you can’t. Then retreat into your bunker.

Secure the global hierarchy. Strengthen it and concentrate all power, wealth and resources into the hands of the ruling class at the top.

Stand firmly behind the monopolized violence of the state in place to protect property – cops, stormtroopers and screws.

Techno-Nazism.

Heads we win, tails you lose.

Three card monte.

The new exchange is this monopoly of digital space or what is called “the cloud”. As Yanis Varoufakis’ analysis points to (How Tech Lords Enslaved Us), this is a powerful new “property” stolen by Silicon Valley privateers and that is a place in which we participate, are observed, controlled and finally out-right possessed. Another form of gift-exchange. We surrender our identity, retain our citizenship, are given packets of power that feed our compulsions, all while we help to create the new Goliath – the eternal, automated beast.

The real market is in the background just as it has always been. Here the real exchange takes place. Today, an exchange of rare earth minerals, hatchet jobs and rat-fucking, assassinations, disappearances, grifts, bag jobs, leases, partnerships or other alliances, protection rackets, extortions, heists, red-neck mercs in pick-up-trucks, pilfering, as well as any of a number of other perfectly legal and extra-legal tokens of exchange to be swapped in the halls of Power.

At any rate, what is most obvious is that working people are to be the victims here. Yet, they will get to be citizens and this is to be their greatest reward. To belong to the new America (or other neo-fascist state).

How can one reward working people with something they already have? Simple, by taking it from those who are deemed “others” or who are destined to become the non-citizens (if not already the recently departed or disappeared).

For examples of this new exchange, consider the extortion racket the current US prez is running on big law. They capitulate with pro bono services offered up that can help defend killer cops and other “brown-shirts” from criminal or civil actions. Not to mention helping out the government’s “white collar” pals in Silicon Valley.

Those that “protect and serve” are best used to dismantle and detonate the enemies of the state (666 communique).

What should we expect from this innovation of capital exchange? The apt comparison going around about this US administration and its leader – like a mafia crime family.

A structure based on the exchange of favors and loyalty.

When you doubt this, note his role with the Muskrats doing the dirty work under the Exchequer’s guidance. He’s large and in charge, he has tyrants kiss his ring and receive blessings for 747 private jets while he publicly humiliates anti-colonialist leaders and then picks their pockets.

He’s now in charge of global trade. With a willingness (or even desire) to destroy global trade. He is, after all, the master of The Art of the Deal, so having others come to him as the most powerful man in all of human history to “kiss my ass” is only appropriate and sets the table for his craftless arts.

Want peace? Go to Der Leader. Want trade agreements? Want strategic support, want relief from the new imperialism, want food, drugs or ammunition? Go to Der Leader.

Announcements, adulation, attention, invocation by repetition of the demon’s name and then genocidal suicidal murder mayhem fun. Ka-fucking-bloom.

Promises are actually lies. How many of his own agreements has this tyrant already torn to shreds? It seems to have been his M.O. all along. White man’s treaty.

Everything seems uncertain except for one thing – this orange Caesar is in charge.

The Ruling class has released him upon the world. He is their pet rube.

Dark MAGA – Grooms of the Pale Rider

Fascists used to be predictable. You know? They weren’t the innovators. They used the same ole tactics only really finding new and more efficient means to exert violence and death, but beyond this rarely deviating from their ancient scripts – divide and rule, violence, propagandizing through media, obfuscation, more violence, smear campaigns, frame jobs, informants, dirty tricks, and the like.

Fascism draws from fresher waters now.

Workers are consumers and capitalism is a system propelled by consumption. This dependency was to be the Achilles heel we were to exploit as the market revolutionaries we are.

In the new gift (grift) exchange, we are simply slaves. Expendable. To be used and discarded. We have become entirely dependent on the ruling class.

Yet, this is only true if we allow them this power and as we continue to come to their cloud fiefdoms.

We must swim in the seas. We must build the revolutionary lattice structures of mutual aid, support and defense through a cellular organization of community hubs. Time is running out!

We must stop paying their rent and doing their labor without wages. We must be organized and a united front.

Neoliberalism has demanded deregulation and Silicon Valley has been a major beneficiary. Anti-trust laws seem hardly relevant in this age of monopolization and consolidation. Laws favor corporate control – the larger the enterprise, the better (and more powerful). When there is regulation, there is an utter failure to enforce. Like most of the important government functions, this one has been under-funded or even starved into irrelevance if not outright hijacked altogether.

Yet even a fully funded regulatory state would be hard pressed to keep up with the speed of technological innovation. This combination has brought to us these mega-monopolies – Amazon, Google, Facebook, Apple, and other tech giants that leverage intellectual property and propriety algorithms to dominate their particular portion of social media or cyberspace. Now on to Artificial Intelligence.

Privatization ensures the commons have been fenced from us. This is what annieli discussed last weekend.

These entities dominate our lives, meticulously track our behavior and finally go so far as to influence or even control our behavior. They do this by understanding and responding to how we think and feel. We end up being manipulated, sowing chaos and conspiracies, falling for various grifts and becoming another pawn in the soulless materialistic consumer ethos that feeds this all back to us even as it begins to do our thinking for us.

Soon, we will no longer be needed. Once they upload our knowledge into the beast why add dependents to the rolls when you can feed them to the lions?

Our leadership joins the big swindle that is the kleptocracies of end times capitalism and the new state reality of end-time fascism. They are thugs, hit men, cons and grifters. The deadliest of pestilences.

It is just more evidence that there is no ideology really behind the ruling class other than strengthening and enriching itself. So, the false populist simply amplifies the worst in working class resentment, racial animus and ignorance and sends it back down to the people. Meanwhile, the neoliberal “woke left” sends its tin messaging from the top to the hollow echoing below. Like dust in the wind - unheard.

So, it’s no difficult task to fool the peasants.

Neither the Church nor the nobles will read us our contract before we place our “X” under the bottom line. We take it one way or the other.

What we’ve seen in the later half of global neoliberalism is the diffusion of power from the nation-state to global corporations. As corporations successfully move stockpiles of capital to off-shore tax havens, the state is weakened. This is because of the old capitalist dynamic with propertied power, or to “follow the money”.

What comes next?

Exit or check out entirely.

Keep following the money…the almighty dollar that is….

One of the interesting features of European medieval history is the growth of state power primarily with Germany, Britain and France. Germany was always in a struggle for the centralized power of the Holy Roman Empire (not to be confused with earlier or later iterations of this entity) so it was similar to the various states of Iberia and Italia (which it was a part of) that remained fractured and never became the powerhouse of either Britain or France.

Britain, after the Norman conquest, had strong centralized power, while France’s monarch directly controlled hardly more than the Ȋle-de-France. After the Third Crusade which directly involved both kings for a time, this power dynamic of Britain and France sort of reversed.

These two crusading monarchs were Richard Coeur de Lion and Philip Augustus. Richard died on the battlefield a few years after the crusade directly leading to the end of the Angevin Empire, the signing of the Magna Carta, and the demise of the Plantagenet monarchy while Philip led a long life as part of the highly successful Capetian dynasty that saw to the consolidation of the French monarchy with events such as the Battle of Bouvines and the Albigensian Crusade. British nobility became more powerful at the expense of the monarch while the French monarchy became more powerful at the expense of the nobility’s power.

Here we see projected a sort of medieval model of state power and its relational tension with the power of the nobility. So, now we see a ruling class moving the expression of their power from the state to corporations and now on to these new moorings of battened down “Freedom Cities” to come.

Which brings us to Musk and his purported dream to colonize Mars. A man dreaming big who needs large capitalization to accomplish these dreams of outer space. Now the stink is that Mars is really a honey pot for his followers who have likely watched one too many Star Trek episode and his real goal is that iron dome orbital bunker from which he can toss lightning bolts down upon us NPCs (thanks DG).

For us, it really doesn’t matter much. Even the richest man on the planet will need a major source of funding to pull either sting off.

This is what Dark MAGA represents. It has a number of monikers and variations: The Network Society, seasteading, Dark Enlightenment, NRx (neo-reactionary movement), or as Yanis calls it “technofeudalism”.

Morality?

Please…

“The fundamental weakness of Western civilization is empathy”. Thank you, Master Musk.

Or, Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa, “Well, we are all going to die.” (at May 30th town hall responding to concerns about Medicaid cuts)

From a systems perspective the planetary system can no longer sustain the modern civilization system. Each system must transform. The smart folks in Silicon Valley understand this.

Understanding this one can pursue a number of avenues the most comforting of which is somehow salvaging our modern civilization. Once one gets a good look behind the curtain of the New Green Deal there aren’t nearly enough mining permits being processed for copper (much less active mines) to begin to cover the requirements and this goes for pretty much anything else (nickel, lithium, cobalt, rare earth minerals, sand, ceramics, concrete, and on and on). All of this industrialized activity to rebuild for renewables entails diesel fuel consumption and emissions just for starters.

Easily accessed resources have been extracted meaning more and more resources are expended to access new resources. This brings about resource cannibalization.

Once this hits you between the eyes, you can look to degrowth, accelerationism or the “radical acceptance” of impotence – that is crack open the champagne and party like it’s 1999.

What we seem to be seeing, as Naomi points to, is accelerationism. As one article referenced by Naomi states:

Accelerationism proposes that we collectively let things unravel to their full extent – socially, politically, economically, environmentally–by stoking, rather than seeking to mitigate–the forces that drive us toward devastation. In the accelerationist imaginary, the future is not about harm reduction, limits or restoration; rather it is a politics driving toward an endgame of the totalizing undoing of capitalism by capitalism. (Left Behind)

The Elephant in the Womb

Which all leads us straight back to the beginning once again – to death.

Does getting all amped up on power put one in close proximity with this mistress? It seems so. So, we end up with leaders who operate much like the proverbial post-modern school-shooter – mass murder followed by suicide.

That was Hitler’s gig. It seems to be the big orange creep’s gig too.

We seem headed for economic collapse that is being ramped along by the ruling class. What of the bourgeois? Do they go along with this based on promises of a place in the new courts of these wannabe lords of the waste?

It is a matter of survival. This is how they are looking at it.

When will we begin to see it in this way as well?

Listen to Naomi, “We have reached a choice point, not about whether we are facing apocalypse but what form it will take.”

Our comrade annieli seems to locate Yanis’ answer to the “why?” with the reality that capitalism, or all intents and purposes, has already collapsed and has been on a sort of financialized life-support anyway.

What do you believe? Is this why this is being allowed to take place? Is this what is taking place?

From my vantage, I believe we have to say more than just, “Don’t let your cloud dry my river”.

While modern intelligence works to help us transform our environment to fit human society, indigenous wisdom informs us how to make human society fit our environment. One is about fitness and one seems destined to extinction.

Put another way, smart people are a dime-a-dozen on a ship of fools.

We need decolonization. Since I’ve never really bought into the doughnut economy and have become disenchanted with this New Green Deal, I’m trying to bone up on this Red Deal.

Finally, we need humor, fun, community, dance, song and much more. I wish I could write like my wise old “uncles” Hunter S. Thompson and Kurt Vonnegut, but unfortunately, I have none of their wit or charm. I miss them. They would have these evil villains on the dissecting table right now where we could see their frailties and infantile compulsions laid bare.

Fascists don’t have a sense of humor. They’re human underneath all the trappings, since, as we know, the emperor is a naked ape just like us. Humor is among our greatest weapons.

Poke the naked orange ape. Resist and unite and act.

Momentum is gained.

So “there it is”. Laid as bare as I can manage it for the moment. Our place is not in the castles and their courts, but with one another in the commons. With Mother Earth. Caring for one another through revolution and mutual aid. We must live the story of the loaves and the fishes where austerity transforms to plentitude because of the miracle of the human heart. We are the fish in the sea. This is our Home.

There It Is

My Friend

they don’t care

if you’re an individualist

a leftist a rightist

a shithead or a snake

They will try to exploit you

absorb you confine you

disconnect you isolate you

or kill you

And you will disappear into your own rage

into your own insanity

into your own poverty

into a word a phrase a slogan a cartoon

and then ashes

The ruling class will tell you that

there is no ruling class

as they organize their liberal supporters into

white supremacist lynch mobs

organize their children into

ku klux klan gangs

organize their police into

killer cops

organize their propaganda into

a device to ossify us with angel dust

preoccupy us with western symbols in

impulse hair styles

inoculate us with hate

institutionalize us with ignorance

hypnotize us with a monotonous sound designed

to make us evade reality and stomp our lives away

And we are programmed to self-destruct

to fragment

to get buried under covert intelligence operations of

unintelligent committees impulse toward death

And there it is

The enemies polishing their penises between

oil wells at the pentagon

the bulldozers leaping into demolition dances

the old folks dying of starvation

the informers wearing out shoes looking for crumbs

the life blood of the earth almost dead in

the greedy mouth of imperialism

And my friend

they don’t care

if you’re an individualist

a leftist a rightist

a shithead or a snake

They will spray you with

a virus of legionnaire’s disease

fill your nostrils with

the swine flu of their arrogance

stuff your body into a tampon of

toxic shock syndrome

try to pump all the resources of the world

into their own veins

and fly off into the wild blue yonder to

pollute another planet

And if we don’t fight

if we don’t resist

if we don’t organize and unify and

get the power to control our own lives

Then we will wear

the exaggerated look of captivity

the stylized look of submission

the bizarre look of suicide

the dehumanized look of fear

and the decomposed look of repression

forever and ever and ever

And there it is
