Hidden microaggressions - let's talk "unisex" t-shirts [1]

Travelingin is something my wife and I do a lot. One of the ubiquitous souveniers is t-shirts. Good so far. And some of these t-shirts really are something one of us wants to wear.
Just this week, we were in a shop for a national museum where we are. And they had really interesting and artistic t-shirts. So we both wanted one. We looked at them and then my wife walked up to the cashiers and asked where the women’s cut t-shirts were. “Oh, these are unisex” was the reply.
NO, these are men’s cut t-shirts with a couple smaller sizes that might fit women. They are not cut to flatter or fit women at all.
Stop, calling them unisex. They aren’t. It’s just that stores can get women to wear a men’s cut t-shirt but there is no way one of us macho men would wear a women’s t-shirt. It just “wouldn’t fit right”.
Just one more example of women being told to “just go along” for equality. Asking someone to buy stuff that doesn’t fit isn’t equality — it’s capitalism embedding on more microaggression as a way to make money.
