BREAKING -- Apparent Anti-Israel Terror Attack in Boulder, CO [1]

From 9News (NBC in Denver):
Boulder Police are investigating a report of an attack with multiple victims Sunday afternoon. Miri Kornfeld, an organizer with Run For Their Lives, which holds weekly walks to raise awareness of Israeli hostages, told 9NEWS the group was walking on Pearl Street on Sunday afternoon. When they arrived at the historic courthouse in the area of 13th and Pearl streets, a man was waiting there with bottles, Kornfeld said. He threw the bottles, and five people were burned, including one woman who was badly burned and had to roll on the ground to put the fire out, she said.
And while local police were initially reluctant to call this either a hate crime or a terror attack, our ‘esteemed’ FBI Director, Kash Patel, was not so fastidious in his declaration on Xitter:
We are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado, Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available.
Unfortunately, he may be right about this as several witnesses apparently heard the attacker shout “Free Palestine” as he threw his improvised molotov cocktail devices at the marchers. Fortunately, he’s now in police custody so it shouldn’t be long before we have a clearer picture of his motivation.
Less fortunately, police had to cordon off a substantial area of downtown Boulder as they searched for his vehicle that may have held a number of other IEDs.
Some statements via the BBC. From Governor Jared Pollis (who is actually from Boulder):
"I am closely monitoring the situation in Boulder, and my thoughts go out to the people who have been injured and impacted by this heinous act of terror," he wrote on social media. "Hate-filled acts of any kind are unacceptable. While details emerge, the state works with local and federal law enforcement to support this investigation."
And from CO Attorney General Phil Weiser:
“From what we know, this attack appears to be a hate crime given the group that was targeted," Weiser said. A group of people peacefully demonstrating to show solidarity for Israeli hostages in Gaza were at the Pearl Street Mall this afternoon when the attack unfolded. “People may have differing views about world events and the Israeli-Hamas conflict, but violence is never the answer to settling differences," Weiser says in the statement. "Hate has no place in Colorado.”
I’ll definitely update this as new info becomes available.
