Imprints of quality: Underwriters Labs; Good Housekeeping; O-U Certified Kosher Foods, and more. Finding one of these stamps on a product has been a confidence-building assurance of excellent quality, backed up by associations that valued their reputations. One could buy such a product without worry, with the expectation that a perceived failure in the product quality, would cause the manufacturer to repair or replace the product, to gain the satisfaction of the customer.

Another symbol: Times were when the acronym BBB stood for

“Better Business Bureau,” again a symbol of trust.

Now we have a new association of the acronym: Big Beautiful Bill, as described by #47, the current president of the USA. But this is not universally popular with with the vast majority of America’s populace. The only people likely to benefit from Its implementation, are a very small number of extremely wealthy people, who appear to wish to impose an oligarchy on America; it threatens to destroy the quality of life of ALL other Americans.

So, many people are redefining the acronym as “Big B/S Bill.” I suggest another: “Bluster Baffles Brains,” or, less elegantly, “B/S Baffles Brains.”
