“TACO” Gaining Traction

x It's trending again. Because it captures the essence of loathsome piece of shit so perfectly, TACO Trump is the meme that will not die. #TACOTrump 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👇 pic.twitter.com/KpetDqKlaL — Bill Madden (@maddenifico) May 31, 2025

In MAGA circles, people marvel at Trump’s ability to create brands such as MAGA and dissing his political opponents by labeling them as Lil Marco, Low-Energy Jeb, and Lyin’ Ted, from which they never recover to threaten him.

The reverse has rarely been true. Until now.

Fast gaining traction among editorial cartoonists, “Trump Always Chickens Out” is an easy-to-understand meme universally applicable to any situation concerning Trump. It also threatens to undermine Trump’s ability to weasel out of any political jam by deflecting attention.

Donald John Trump has met the enemy, and his initials are… DJT!

President TACO x TACO Trump. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👇 pic.twitter.com/f79duEXx7a — Bill Madden (@maddenifico) May 31, 2025 Jonathan Last believes “TACO” has the potential to hurt Donald Trump: It’s simple. Trump Always Chickens Out. You can put that phrase anywhere, apply it to anything, and everyone knows what it means.

It’s meme-able. You have the slogan. You have the word mark. And you have an universally recognizable image. Hell, there’s even a pre-built emoji for it. 🌮

Hell, there’s even a pre-built emoji for it. 🌮 It’s universal. You can apply it to any situation. Trump pulls back on tariffs? TACO. Trump gives in to Putin? TACO. Trump increases the national debt? TACO.

It’s organic. No Democratic strategist came up with TACO. It’s an observation that emerged from the finance world—from the very same bros who voted for Trump in the first place. You can feel the disdain of his own supporters dripping off of it.

It hits at something deep inside Trump. It’s about his soul. It’s about his weakness. “By hitting him with TACO over and over, you (a) reveal his pull-backs as weakness and (b) dare him to go through with the stuff that will screw up the real world—and, in theory, create pain for his movement.” x David Fitzsimmons, The Arizona Daily Star @DWFitzsimmons pic.twitter.com/BXAIMUQXJv — Editorial & Political Cartoons (@EandPCartoons) May 30, 2025

What Could Possibly Go Wrong Between Trump and Putin?

In March 2023, Trump promised to end the Russia-Ukraine War in his first 24 hours in office. He told FOX News host Sean Hannity that the war was pointless and would not have happened under his regime.

What has happened in the four and a half months after Trump moved into the White House? Reality has set in, and it doesn’t look like the war is going to end anytime soon.

Russian Troops Massing on Ukraine Border “Russia has gathered 50,000 troops, including some of its most battle-hardened forces, on Ukraine’s northern border for an imminent offensive,” the Times of London reports.
