Those of you who are feeling somewhat dragged out might consider that Friday the 13th is an excellent excuse for a party. Or just dinner with a friend or two.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

New Mexico Sopapilla Pie. There’s considerable article before the recipe, but it really looks good.
Recent, fairly lengthy, coverage of the Klamath River dam removal project.
Magic Cake
A flu strain has gone extinct. Apparently, its last appearance was in 2020.
Cowboy Cookies. Not the recipe I grew up with, but close.
Possible origins of the domestic cat.
Garlic-butter Steak Bites

Friday morning, my niece texted all four of us siblings to let us know the taxes on our inheritance and the accountant were paid and we owed her. This upset one of my brothers, and would have seriously annoyed me except that every time we’ve had to send her money, she has been very specific about how much — and then there was the ;)
It was the third time reading the text that I noticed that, and I had to explain to the brother in question that it meant she was winking at us. She had already told him she’d been joking.

My granddaughter will be spending a couple of weeks in June in Chicago. My grandson will be doing another video program — third year in a row. Not that this affects my granddaughter anymore, but school lets out for Portland Public Schools on June 10.
Not as many items caught my interest as is usual for the links. Have fun.

Love you guys!
