Memorial Day and remembrances: first as always:
A gentle reminder of how we do things: š±š¶š¦
Do not troll the diary. If you hate pootie diaries, leave now. No harm, no foul.
Please do share pics of your fur kids! If you have health/behavior issues with your pets, feel free to bring it to the community.
Pooties are cats; Woozles are dogs. Birds... are birds! Peeps are people.
Whatever happens in the outer blog STAYS in the outer blog. If youāre having āissuesā with another Kossack, keep it āout there.ā This is a place to relax and play; please treat it accordingly. There are some pics we never post: snakes, creepy crawlies, any and all photos that depict or encourage human cruelty toward animals. These are considered āout of boundsā and will not be tolerated. If we alert you to it, please remember that we do have phobic peeps who react strongly to them. If you keep posting banned pics...well then...the Tigress will have to take matters in hand. Or, paws.
May 30th is National Hole in My Bucket Day
Allows for so many remembrances of much beloved Aunt;
As kids when she drove us from one place or another she would often be asked sing this song, and for as many times hearing it as a kid, only the last line do I remember ā...but thereās a hole in my bucket dear Liza, dear Liza, a hole.ā
My Dear Aunt would have loved this photo.
A classic childrenās folk song about a back and forth conversation between Henry and Liza. Henry needs to fix his leaky bucket. In each stanza, Henry asks Liza for advice. In the end, he needs a bucket to carry water to begin repairing his bucket.
Thereās a Hole in My Bucket (And goes on for some 18 stanzas;)
Thereās a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza.
Thereās a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, a hole.
Then fix it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry.
Then fix it, dear Henry, dear Henry, fix it.
With what should I fix it, dear Liza, dear Liza?
With what should I fix it, dear Liza, with what?
With straw, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
With straw, dear Henry, dear Henry, with straw.
The straw is too long, dear Liza, dear Liza,
The straw is too long, dear Liza, too long.
Then cut it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Then cut it, dear Henry, dear Henry, cut it.
..
But there's a hole in my bucket,
Dear Liza, dear Liza,
There's a hole in my bucket,
Dear Liza, a hole!
May 30th is also Water A Flower Day
āThis time of year, our flower gardens should be in full bloom. Keeping them hydrated sometimes seems like a full-time job. It's often a therapeutic business, caring for a living thing. The more they're nurtured, the more they thrive.ā
As some here are gardeners; we constantly monitor our plants, inside or out, many times both. We worry about too much rain, too little rain...
Buckets, flowers, water and cats; we gardeners here are more than familiar with all four.
Late May and right on time my peonies are blooming. So Peeps how is your garden growing?
