What If the Deportations Were Lies? [1]

['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.']

We don’t have all the answers. But the right questions can open the door to something bigger. So here’s what needs to be asked — now, before it’s too late:

Were migrants deported without receiving due process?

Were the countries they were sent to told the whole truth, or any truth at all ?

Were innocent people labeled as criminals to justify removal?

Did U.S. officials knowingly send people into danger, violating international law?

Have any of those receiving countries begun to question what they were told ?

Were secret deportation deals made behind closed doors, outside of the official record?

Why are so many deportation records from that era sealed, missing, or incomplete?

Who benefited from keeping these deportations off the books?

Has anyone inside DHS, ICE, or the State Department spoken up — and if so, were they ignored or silenced?

What happens if even one foreign government says, "We were lied to”?

Could this be a violation of the non-refoulement principle and trigger international legal action?

Why is no one in Congress asking these questions — and what are they afraid of?

We aren’t making accusations.

We’re seeking accountability.

Because if we don’t ask these questions now, we may not get the chance later.

The United States is a beacon of hope, not one of cruelty.
