IAN:Thursday 5/29/2025 Oh, so I can bake [1]

I went to Margie’s house this morning with a mixed cake in a Pyrex dish and put it in the oven. It was interesting driving across town with it kind of sloshing from side to side as the road dipped off to the right for drainage. I moved it twice to get into a more level, stable place but it was fine when I got there. AND it was quite fine when it came out of the oven! Margie gave me recipe to begin with and then ended up hosting me to cover for my lack of an oven. We were both impressed with the final result so I will be baking one the Saturday before Father’s Day to take to the cake swap.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

I left half the cake Margie and will send some off to my sister. Lil Zen is not a fan of carrot cake but is a fan of mine so gave me kudos.
