While Elon Musk tweets about crypto and shares memes mocking HIV, something far more serious is unfolding: the collapse of global HIV treatment networks.

Programs funded by USAID are breaking down. Shipments of medication have stopped. Nurses are working without pay. In countries like Haiti and Nigeria, the most vulnerable are left without support, and the lifelines they depended on are vanishing.

Musk’s Twitter feed isn’t just chaotic. It’s anesthetic. It numbs us to what’s really going on. While he dominates the discourse with controversy and memes, critical global systems are falling apart.

The billionaires love this dynamic. Keep the public watching drama. Keep them distracted. And meanwhile, behind the curtain, let the institutions rot.

But this isn’t a joke. AIDS clinics are shuttering. Pregnant women are being turned away. Children are dying. And the world’s richest man is laughing.

It’s not just obnoxious. It’s dangerous. It draws our attention away from policies that are killing people in real time. We can’t afford to keep falling for it. Not now. Not with this much at stake.
