Joe Democrat gets on an elevator on the first floor of a skyscraper with a posh restaurant on top.
The elevator car stops at the mezzanine, at which point, a Republican gets on.
Passing the tenth floor, the republican farts—no joe-average workaday fart but an epic feculent miasma of rotten eggy not having had a good dump since the Nixon administration which, somehow, sneaks out without a sound fart.
Immediately, the Republican gets out in front, launching into attack mode.
“That’s disgusting.” the Republican sneers
“What?”
“You should be ashamed.”
The democrat tries — credit where credit’s due. “But…I didn’t….”
“I mean, what do you people eat…ohmyfuckinggod that is sooooooo fucken’ GROSS!”
Around the thirtieth floor the car stops and an attractive woman gets on. The republican, seeing opportunity, presses the attack. He reaches into his suit pocket and takes out a small wallet of Beano tablets. He offers one to the democrat.
Amazed that this is even happening, all he can do is listen in amazement — pure chutzpah and nothing more.
“My doctor says these work really well…yep, digestive health is very important, you know.”
Sensing that his only defense lies in the adage about not wrestling with pigs ‘cause you both get dirty and the pig likes it,“I really like that coat.” the republican tells the woman.
“Thank you. It’s a Buzz Rickson’s.
“Wanna go for lunch up top?…get out of this smelly car.”
“I’d like that very much.” she smiles.
The republican winks at the democrat….see ya in the funny papers……
