I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep. My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me.

While I only occasionally dabble in fantasy, this book came highly recommended to me by a friend, and I found it to be a cracking good read. Aside from being a great tale of a young magician's fraught-laden upbringing in the aforementioned University, and his subsequent exploits as a young adult, The Name of the Wind also contains one of the fantasy genre's most artfully constructed frameworks around how magic might work.

And now, on to tonight's puzzle. Below are links to an on-line board to help you work the puzzle, and the solution. But don't peek at the answer until you've made an honest attempt to solve the puzzle, or you'll spoil the fun!
