Donald Trump now says the foreign aid cuts are “devastating.”
That’s a direct quote—about the exact policy he personally signed into law.
In January, Trump issued Executive Order 14169, freezing nearly all U.S. foreign development assistance and furloughing 10,000 USAID staff. HIV clinics shut down. Food aid spoiled in warehouses. Refugees were stranded without support. Children died.
Now, just months later, Trump is publicly lamenting the fallout as if he’s some detached observer. It would be comical—if it weren’t terrifying.
Is Trump Forgetting What He’s Done?
We’ve always known Trump to be a hypocrite. But this isn’t the usual con. This is something stranger, shakier. He’s calling his own actions tragic—as if they were someone else’s.
This week, NBC News reported that the Trump White House is purging old transcripts of his remarks from the official government website. Entire speeches—vanished. Comments deleted. It looks like a cover-up. But what if it’s something else?
What if Trump is trying to erase the past not just from public view… but from his own mind?
