Let’s talk about one of the most hollow, bloodless phrases in our political lexicon:

“Transfer of wealth from the bottom to the top.”

It sounds tidy. Technical. Like we’re talking about shifting a few assets between brackets on a spreadsheet.

But here’s the problem: the “bottom” has no wealth.

You can’t transfer what doesn’t exist.

What the bottom has is survival. Rent paid a few days late. Insulin bought in half-doses. Credit card debt racked up to keep the lights on. A second job that eats weekends. A kid’s lunch that’s just enough to keep them from fainting at recess.

What’s being “transferred” isn’t wealth. It’s life itself.

You rob us of time, health, dignity, hope, and when that’s gone, you take what little energy we had left to fight.

They’re running an economy that requires the bottom to be just broke enough to keep clocking in and just scared enough to never quit.

So no, it’s not a “transfer.” That’s the language of accountants.

It’s plunder.

It’s strangulation.

And until we start saying that out loud. Until we strip the polite veneer off this violence. We’ll keep losing the narrative.
