Changes in Attitude [1]

It’s been a very, very long time since we made any changes to our governing documents. The last amendment was adopted in 1992 over congressional pay, because those leeches kept raising their salaries without any sort of oversight. They’re supposed to be working for us since we pay for their upkeep, but the sheer criminality of today’s government makes me want to stop funding them at all. Let the billionaires pay their fair share first.

Over the years I’ve pondered how to make our system of government more responsive to the actual people who pay for it. So, here is my “manifesto” for creating changes to how we run this nation that is more responsible to the average citizen. No, I didn’t add universal healthcare because I think all of us rational people know it is way past time to implement that.
