Trump tells the U.K. to stop going green [1]

Trump forced the U.K. into a trade deal, but just like anyone who kowtows to Trump, he keeps coming back for more.
Donald Quixote has a particular hatred for windmills that kill his favorite birds and whales. How the whales get to the land based ones is beyond me.
"Our negotiated deal with the United Kingdom is working out well for all."
The tariffs on steel and aluminum of 25% changed to a quota system, and automotive imports also changed to a quota system, but there is still a 10% tariff on everything. That's a blanket tariff that isn't working for the US or the UK. Just like the 10% on the rest of the world.
"I strongly recommend to them, however, that in order to get their Energy Costs down, they stop with the costly and unsightly windmills..."
He just hates those windmills. They are exactly doing what Trump wants. They keep the energy costs down. It's called renewable energy. Trump hasn't shot down solar as a energy source, yet. But he has incredible tariffs on all the pieces of solar cells that come from China through other countries like Vietnam and Cambodia.
"... and incentivize modern Drilling in the North Sea where large amounts of oil wait to be taken."
Sure, let's create more possibilities for oil spills destroying the ocean. That's so much more important to have than renewable energy.
"A century of drilling left, with Aberdeen as the hub."
Haven't you already pissed off the Scots enough? You want oil platforms in sight of your golf course, instead of the windmills? That's one of the real reasons he hates windmills. They are in sight from his golf course in Aberdeen. He sued and lost, and had to pay the legal fees. Therefore, he has to stick his nose in, in order to get revenge.
"The old fashioned tax system disincentivizes drilling, rather than the opposite. U.K.'s Energy Costs would go WAY DOWN, and fast!"
No, they wouldn't. Drilling platforms are very expensive and take anywhere from 5.5 to 17 years to turn a profit. Wind turbines, on average, take 5 to 10 years to turn a profit, but with no danger of oil spills and the insurance to cover one, if you can even get it now. The bigger the wind turbine, the quicker the profit. There are a lot of factors that can turn a profit earlier.
Donald and his minions don't believe in climate change, so renewable energy means nothing to him.
What is strange is that he finally realizes that there is a limit to all that can be pumped out of the ground or the seabed. He says the oil off of Aberdeen could be pumped for a hundred years. Well, depending how many oil platforms are put in, it could be a lot less than that, and then what do they do?
None of that means anything to Donald. Fossil fuels are the way to go when you don't care about the rest of the Earth.
