Of course Trump; the GOP's 'populist' rhetoric is nonsense. Why does anybody still think otherwise? [1]

The Republican Party’s Populist Betrayal
Of course the GOP budget bill is ‘phony.’ Of course neither the GOP nor Trump give a damn about the ‘working class.’ The GOP is not engaging in a ‘populist betrayal’ since GOP ‘populism’ is media created. Trump and the GOP has always been clear as to their true goals and objectives...and neither America nor (most) Americans are relevant. have been Why does this still seem to shock and amaze people?
Does anybody, for an instant, think Trump really gives a damn about the working class? Even thoughtful media, as is The Bulwark, continue to write this stuff as if we should be surprised. My surprise is that people still don't freaking get Trump.
Trump is mainly a front for the redistribution of money up to corporations, the most wealthy and himself while fronting for Project 2025 with its primarily Christian Nationalist and anti-constitutional intent. Trump does what he’s told and is less the US ‘President’ than he even was in his first term. Who is running things, exactly? Certainly not Trump. It's time to stop feeling as if we need to debunk each of Trump's lies individually rather than just presume that if he's talking, he's lying…then confront him and call out the lies.
It's also time to realize that Trump is only motivated by Trump; by money, by adulation, extreme racism and white supremacism, and the economic eugenics specifically pushed by Musk. Trump also has no interest in or competence with regards to economics and finance. Trump only played a ‘businessman’ on TV. He just recently removed sanctions from Syria because the new Syrian leader promised him a high-rise in Damascus with his name paid for in gold at the top.
It's all grift. It's all a con. Trump is an amoral, indecent, deeply ignorant person with absolutely no interest in anything or anybody else. Trump has no loyalty and the attention span of a coked up squirrel. He's literally running a bribery and extortion organized crime operation from the White House and still getting away with it...
Trump's behavior with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa yesterday wasn't 'crazy' or a ‘false narrative’ but increasing insanity and deep racism with White Supremacist conspiracy theories and shameful ignorance that also further diminishes the United States. There is no such thing as ‘white genocide’ in either South Africa or — anywhere.
Trump showed pictures of the Democratic Republic of Congo while saying they were from South Africa. White South Africans are about 7% of the population but own 78% of the farm land. Even though South Africa has a horrific murder rate, the percentage of white South Africans killed is, by proportion, miniscule. But Trump has yet to meet a white supremacist conspiracy theory he doesn't like. His Cabinet is simultaneously the wealthiest and least competent likely in American History.
But (most) still don't seem to get it. It's time to stop explaining; it's time to stop debunking and start directly and actively calling Trump out. Each and every time. Several reporters did ask productive direct questions yesterday with the expected Trump temper tantrum each time. I even believe one was from NBC.
This practice has to be consistent across all media all the time and at all Trump (or his allies) ‘press conferences.’ Trump doesn’t exist without the cameras on and will hardly deny access to the collected media. Otherwise, all he’ll have listening to him or Leavitt lying for him would be Breitbart, Fox and Newsmax.
When Trump doesn't answer one question substituting threats and idiot self righteous indignation, the next journalist should ask the same question. And then again. Then again until he either attempts a coherent answer or runs out crying. Trump will short out.
It's time to end the Trump charade
