Wishing on miracles ain't gonna save us [1]

They are ignoring the law! They are ignoring the judges!

I am baffled that people seem to think 2026 is going to save us from the GOP and its leader. We have already lost control! Sure, they go to hearings are grilled etc… but then they keep doing exactly the same things as if nothing had happened!

They are setting things up in place so that in 2026 they won’t have to accept or respect the results of the elections. Are state laws being respected? Are judges being obeyed? Even SCOTUS has not been able to enforce its rulings.

They keep doing the most outrageous things, and people are like we need to vote in 2026 and get control back… really? I’m not optimistic at all about our being able to use a majority to do anything, because it seems to me that they simply do not give a damn about breaking laws, precedent, traditions, the constitutions… nothing seems to stop them not even rulings from judges and SCOTUS. Even the cases that have been won, are being ignored.

If people cannot see what’s going on, we’re in trouble. They are waiting for a miracle that is not going to happen. It will not matter how many seats we win in 2026 if they refuse the results. Who is going to enforce the results? Pam Bondi? Noem? Patel? Hegseth? The judges? The military?

Who is going to enforce the results of votes in congress, even if we win and are seated? They are blatantly disobeying everything now. They are running the country with EO’s, everyone who steps out of line is summarily dismissed no matter their seniority or position. They’ve replaced the higher hierarchy of the military with yes man. Who is going to enforce what?

Do they seem cowed to you after saying and doing the god-awful things they are doing? Do they seem afraid of the rulings? Do they seem ashamed of their bumbling and errors? Nope. They just keep forging ahead with the plans ignoring any order, ruling, law that stands in their way.

I know people don’t want to face the truth, I know people are scared, but they are not scared enough yet.
