Fact-check of trump's Incendiary Accusations in Oval Office Meeting with S. African President [1]

As you must be aware, South African president Cyril Ramaphosa met with trump in the Oval Office today. He was on a mission to improve relations with America (the trump regime really) and to clear any misunderstandings. His delegation included billionaire South African businessman Johann Rupert and legendary South African golfers — Ernie Els and Retief Goosen.
After a few cordial exchanges, the White House executed its pre-planned ambush -
Trump called for an aide to bring to him a stack of articles about violent attacks on white farmers and dim the lights to bring the room’s attention to a large flat screen TV set up along a wall of the Oval Office. Trump played a five-minute video that claimed to show evidence of the murders of white farmers and South African politicians calling for racial violence. Elon Musk, who has repeatedly posted on his social media platform, X, false claims of genocide against white South Africans, was standing on the side of the room and watched the video intently. time.com/...
In a room dripping with hate and racism, Ramaphosa kept his cool and tried to explain the situation in S. Africa, which has a high murder rate but not one targeted at whites or white farmers.
Ramaphosa explained that while some political groups in South Africa have used violent rhetoric about the issue, his party and the current government are opposed to it.

Number of murders in last 9 months of 2024 in S. Africa: 19,696.
Murders on farms: 36. i.e., 0.2%.
Murders of actual farmers: 7
It's not even clear that those are all White farmers. Contrary to what the president said, many farmers in S. Africa are Black.
Amid the tense discussion, Ramaphosa at one point joking aid - “I’m sorry, I don’t have a plane to give you."

Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released this scathing statement — “The only beneficiaries of President Trump’s meeting with President Ramaphosa are China and Russia, who are eagerly courting South Africa as Trump’s ham-handed diplomacy pushes the country further away from the United States ...”
But facts mean nothing to the regime that revels in lies and CTs. Every passing day, trump is telling us that he can lie and spread CTs, defy laws and norms, elevate white supremacists, defy Congress, defy SCOTUS, intimidate, extort and destroy lives with a stroke of a pen and there is nothing we can do to stop it. Let’s prove him wrong. Let’s make sure that the American people are paying attention and that they understand the consequences of these abhorrent and destructive policies.
