CONGRESS: Fix the current US tariff idiocy!
TO: My Federal Representative and Senators
The whole world is impacted by the current US tariff idiocy. Businesses and individuals can’t plan for the future. Businesses are laying off employees or closing shop. 73% of Americans are concerned about increases in costs for goods and services.[1]
Why has Congress chosen to ignore this? Where are the incentives? It is all punitive to consumers and businesses around the world. It will take at least three years to build the infrastructure to bring jobs back to the US.
90% of American Voters consider “Economy Extremely/Very Important”.[2]
I am one of these Americans.
As you well know, Congress holds the power to manage this so here is an idea for Congress to temporarily fix the current economy crisis here and around the world.
Congress should place an immediate PAUSE so that no one has to pay these tariffs at the point of entry.
