Act of Genius: Trans Women Go Topless in Protest at Scottish Parliament [1]

This is fricking genius! Trans women protest topless outside Scottish Parliament:
A GROUP of trans women have staged a topless protest outside the Scottish Parliament to denounce the recent UK Supreme Court ruling and confront what they see as the Scottish Government’s failure to respond with strength and solidarity.
(It happened last Saturday, but didn’t get much notice at the time.)
The genius part is that, in order to arrest them for indecent exposure, the government would have to admit that they are women.
[A protestor named] Sugar added: “Today’s protest is a public act of grief, resistance, and solidarity to highlight the hypocrisy of the ruling. If the Supreme Court can see these woman legally as men then they’ll have zero issue with them going taps aff.”

Over 200 people showed up to protest: Trans protesters go topless outside government building to fight anti-trans ruling
Along with the attendees being shirtless — leaving their breasts exposed in full view of onlookers — their arms were painted red. The protesters said the color represented a mark of solidarity with anti-fascist feminists across Europe. The women also held white roses symbolizing the death of transgender rights in the U.K. and wore tape across their mouths to symbolize trans voices being silenced by the court ruling. Around 200 people partook in the demonstration. The protest came after an announcement that political parties would be suspended from participating in this year’s Pride march in retaliation for the court’s ruling in the case of For Women Scotland Ltd v Scottish Ministers.
Not all of Scotland’s government is going along with the court ruling. (May 12) Scottish NHS trusts refuse to ditch trans policies:
Scotland’s NHS has been accused of trying to dodge implementing the Supreme Court’s ban on trans women using female lavatories and changing rooms.
There’s a long way to go, with a lot of setbacks still to overcome, but one has to admire the cleverness of this protest.
