A Novel of Our Times: "Surviving New America: Hope Thomas and Her Enemies" [1]

Hello. Just a note that I’ve written and self-published a novel entitled “Surviving New America: Hope Thomas and Her Enemies.”
The story is set in 2029 and 2030. Hope Thomas has an abortion in Texas. The state is looking for the first woman to execute under newly promulgated laws. Hope moves to Santa Fe and begins speaking out about her situation.
Meanwhile, telecommunication investor Jayson Damond is putting the finishing touches on Damondville, a small town outside of Trinidad, Colorado. It is the multibillionaire’s bucket list project. He is worried, however. Nobody is interested and Damondville is becoming a colossal white elephant.
Damond hears about Hope and decides to remarket the town as “New America,” threaten to secede and use Hope as a foil who represents everything that is wrong with this country. He thinks this will generate interest and save the project.
Of course, it doesn’t work out that way...
The heart of the novel, which I began about four years ago, is how telecommunications technology — from AI to social media — is threatening to make us ungovernable.
