Trump Seeks 20,000 National Guard Troops for Activation [1]

NPR is reporting that Trump and Noem want to activate 20,000 National Guard troops for “deportation of migrants” in our cities.

It is unclear so far as to the National Guard’s prospective role. Governors may activate their National Guard for domestic policing. The Guard may be activated by the President in times of war, insurrection, or major public disturbance only. We all know that this will, in no way, stop Trump from using the National Guard for domestic policing..which means we will have tanks in our streets shortly unless stopped, somehow. The proposal includes seeking only “volunteers” of the National Guard to participate. This means we will have an army of MAGA..a true fascist fighting force..in US cities.
I crossed the rubicon months ago concerning whether we were at war with the Fascists. There is no doubt that the moment the tanks roll into the streets, we are in a war that we are currently losing. I accept the responsibility for my own reluctance to acknowledge the dire situation we are all in. The decision we all have to make now to combat the Fascists is to what level are we willing to sacrifice and devote ourselves to reclaim the America we were, but now gone. For God’s sake, Trump just threatened Bruce Springsteen when he will try to re-enter the US from his European tour. If he is willing to arrest The Boss and members of Congress, we are nothing but cannon fodder to these fucks when they start firing.
We all know what is going to happen with the 20,000 fascist soldiers. Arrest sweeps will fill concentration camps in America and abroad. American citizens by the 1000s are going to these concentration camps. Tens of thousands of us are going at least to jail..maybe more. This is why they want to do away with due process. They can’t seize and incarcerate millions if they have to go to court every time. And so far, I don’t see our judicial system as capable of withstanding our final slide into a full blown fascist regime. We have become no better than Nazi Germany, I fear.
