Root causes of Immigration [1]

The international community (and every knows that when we say international community we mean the so called first world countries, the leaders), need to get a grip on reality and admit their role in the so called immigration crisis.

The reason people have fled their countries, can be for the most part if not always, laid at the feet of said international community. From pillaging the resources of less advance countries, to disrupting their culture and way of life, to seeking to impose their own ideas of “human rights” they don’t even respect in the own countries, to putting sanctions on countries barely able to feed themselves so they can coerce them into agreeing to their demands, to climate change and the biggest of them all, using their power to insinuate themselves into local politics with dramatic results, the internation community is very much part of the problem its trying to run away from.

It helps that most of these countries are often brown or black, as I’ve noticed a distinct difference in treatment when it comes to a not so dark-skinned country. I mean the menace wants to take Greenland and Canada, but while he also wants the natural resources of certain African countries, I don’t hear talk of invasion, just destruction. Did you not realize that’s what the freezing of AID was all about? It’s to bring to nations back to heel, submit, do as we say and we’ll reactivate those programs.

I have lived for 30 years in Haiti, so this will serve as my example, during those 30 years there has been a constant stream of so called help and non-profit organizations in Haiti… helping. Over 30 years of help… really? And this is the Haiti you got to show for all this so called help from the richest and most powerful nations in the world? This is the result? And we’re supposed to believe it’s incidental to our current condition?

You’ve systematically destroyed every single self-sustaining industry that was in Haiti, from agriculture to our livestock you’ve destroyed them all. You’ve forced us to disband and disarm our army as a condition for this so-called help, when we were at our most vulnerable after the fall of our Dictator. France beggared Haiti with it’s ridiculous demand of reparation for the enslavers and their descendant the last of this debt paid in full wasn’t in the 1800’s but in 1985! Yes in the middle of the 20th century Haiti was still paying out to France reparations for the end of slavery!

The US and Canada have been sticking the fingers in Haiti’s self-governance for decades. The US imposed an embargo on Haiti the poorest nation in the world… even fuel was denied to us.

Let’s get one thing clear, before all this AID fell upon us, Haitians use to leave Haiti to attend universities in other countries and were always more advance than local attendees. Better yet, Haitians always came back home! No Haitian wants to spend their lives outside of Haiti if they can help it. We all want to go back home, but you have made our home unlivable. And now you have the unmitigated gall to tells us we must self deport to Haiti to face the gangs armed to the teeth with weapons you’ve provided them?

The immigration crisis you are facing are of your own making or should I say meddling? Now I love both my countries for different reasons but the racism of the US (and other first world countries) is not restrained by its borders. It extends far beyond to reach anywhere Black and Brown people live. The stereotypes portrayed in their culture spread faster than covid and infects through their exported cultures to the farthest corners of our world.

Y’all want solve your immigration crisis? Stop impoverishing poor nations, stop stealing their resources, stop abusing them, stop your meddling. And if you truly want to help reverse the damage you’ve caused offer real concrete help. But we all know you won’t.
