Could not decide on a topic for today, so a few thoughts for this week, first:
A gentle reminder of how we do things: š±š¶š¦
Do not troll the diary. If you hate pootie diaries, leave now. No harm, no foul.
Please do share pics of your fur kids! If you have health/behavior issues with your pets, feel free to bring it to the community.
Pooties are cats; Woozles are dogs. Birds... are birds! Peeps are people.
Whatever happens in the outer blog STAYS in the outer blog. If youāre having āissuesā with another Kossack, keep it āout there.ā This is a place to relax and play; please treat it accordingly. There are some pics we never post: snakes, creepy crawlies, any and all photos that depict or encourage human cruelty toward animals. These are considered āout of boundsā and will not be tolerated. If we alert you to it, please remember that we do have phobic peeps who react strongly to them. If you keep posting banned pics...well then...the Tigress will have to take matters in hand. Or, paws. So a few thoughts: Desperately trying to follow through with the No Mow May, from the look of the front and side lawns I may not make it until the 25th in time for Memorial Day; have a splendid crop of dandelions for the the bees and butterflies to enjoy. Fortunately, several homes in the area, though not on my block, appear to be doing the same⦠Did clean part of my patio yesterday, changed the heated bird bath to a large terra cotta saucer, first seemed like my feral wouldnāt use it, noticed earlier today she seemed to have no problem. Then there was Motherās Day where I had thought to buy some flowers until it occurred to me, I already have a lovely crop of lilacs right here, kitchen bouquet, NPR soup mug Front room Then perusing my Calendar Book of Days ran across this tidbit āAlong with other special adaptions the special reflective layer behind a catās retina makes its eyes about six times more sensitive to light than a humanās. ā So maybe our pooties really do see something at the top of the stairs.
As we are about to have our first 90 degree day for the season, noted in my calendar book was that in 2024, May 21st was our first 90 degree day.
Right now its after 11am, still havenāt changed out of my night clothes, finally installed a room darkening shade in computer room, the previous shade had been hidden in the corner of a closet, so all that was needed were shade brackets, bought the self stick type, if they donāt hold Iāll use duct tape, been wanting this for soooo long.
Afraid Iād forget; also used a $5.00 dollar credit from a big box store that was set to expire at the end of the month, one of only a few clothing purchases Iāll make during the year.
Along with writing this diary, an overall rather productive morning, Was reminded of a chocolate cake recipe I used to make while in junior high, made with sour milk, weād set fresh milk out to sour, one of best cake recipes ever. No, donāt remember much else except that it was made with sour milk which originally was all I could think for a topic on May 19th, National Devils Food Cake Day.
So peeps what Devilās Food Cake will you choose to celebrate National Devils Food Cake Day?
