It’s no secret that college campuses tend to be liberal, progressive, woke, secular—basically any school of thought that MAGA finds abhorrent tends to be favored by academia. MAGA claims that this bias against their beliefs is the result of a grand conspiracy. But they know that isn’t true. They know that when their ideas are compared to alternatives in an honest debate, MAGA loses. Racism, homophobia, xenophobia, misogyny, and greed just don’t look attractive when exposed for what they really are. Their ideas simply do not sell well in a free market of thought. Hence MAGA works diligently to cut funding for public schools, universities, and public radio and TV.
