Trump gift luxury airplane - what could possibly go wrong? [1]

A 400 million dollar bribe seems like small potatoes after the major destruction Trump has brought to the federal government. But, its still worth mentioning as a reminder that even in small matters, he readily displays his lack of understanding and ineptitude. His profound ignorance not limited to economics, international relations, of the meaning of the constitution.
Nope, he fails to grasp that just because Qatar gives him an airplane does not mean that he can actually use it as his “Air Force One” because it would take years to convert it into a military grade aircraft with all the safety, security, and communications equipment needed to use it to transport the most important person in the United States. That’s why it is taking Boeing so long to produce a new Air Force One. That and major personnel and supply chain issues.
Further, it escapes him that converting it will still cost money, and lots of it. He says, "Why should our military, and therefore our taxpayers, be forced to pay hundreds of millions of Dollars when they can get it for FREE from a country that wants to reward us for a job well done.” It will likely take much longer and cost more than the current airplane under construction at Boeing.
Last, but not least, he does not get that after his term of office is up, its going to be really impractical to display this airplane at his “Presidential Library” as he intends. There is just not enough space in the bathroom at Mar-a-Lago for a Boeing 747. Its already overcrowded.
