Trump impeachment called "idiotic" in House Dem meeting [1]

Representative Jerry Nadler, a Member of the House Judiciary Committee, called Rep. Shri Thanedar's Impeachment Bill “idiotic” at yesterday’s House Democratic Caucus meeting. He encouraged members of the Caucus to vote for a Republican motion to kill the Bill, according to Axios. Rep. Nancy Pelosi agreed.
One of Speaker Pelosi’s skills was an ability to count votes and not advance legislation that had no hope of passing. Impeachment falls into that category. Absent viewers of C-SPAN, very few people would be aware of a procedural vote happening, nor would they care. As Congresswoman Kristen Rivet said a few weeks ago, the average voter is focused on jobs, the cost of their mortgage, getting their kids to soccer practice, etc. They’re not focused on Trump’s authoritarian tendencies.
