I can’t believe the lies in this ad.
While watching “Jeopardy” on a Portland, Oregon Sinclair owned TV station, I was presented with this assembly of lies, in a Trump ad targeting vulnerable Democratic Congressional seats.

It explains the Democrats “ruined our economy” but Trump has a plan for “middle class tax cuts”, “tariffs that bring home American jobs”, and to “bring down prices”.
It claims: “the cost of living is coming down”, “inflation and gas prices are at 4-year lows” and “we’re creating American jobs.”
"Tell Congress this is a good deal for America. Support President Trump's plan to get our economy back on track" it concludes.
Securing American Greatness is the Trump non-profit that is putting out this deceitful ad and according to Axios, is spending 7 figures on the ad placement.
I understand why the ad played on a Portland station. The Democratic Party’s DCCC has identified vulnerable representatives for support in the 2026 election as its Frontline Program candidates. Congresswoman Janelle Bynum is in a district stretching south from the Portland suburbs to the middle of the state. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is a Frontline Congressperson across the river in SW Washington. Perez also is identified by the Republican NRCC as one of 26 vulnerable targets.
The tax cut is for the rich. Working people get nothing but cuts to Medicaid, SNAP benefits, etc. Things haven’t improved under Trump. A great number of people in our country are still living check-to-check, buying the cheapest food possible and worried if they can pay rent on time. This ad so full of lies. The rich are buying support for their tax cuts. Honestly, what kind of democracy do we have when Trump and his billionaire backers can lie like this?
