Dogs Will Someday Rule The Earth [1]

Four dogs have moved into my house and taken over. They bribed their way through customs (the front door) with offerings of companionship and wet sloppy kisses. I should have utilized critical thinking skills to spot their propaganda earlier and seen the authoritarian takeover of my sovereign space from a mile away. In hindsight, it was a slow and insidious process that started with demands for regular meals. Then a creeping takeover of the household sleeping apparatus called a bed, no room for humans here! The demands for more and more dog toys have now depleted resources and turned the environment into a plastic and rubber hellscape. Never satisfied and demanding more and more, the environment has degraded considerably (terrible dog farts) and dimished resources (new dog toys). It is only a matter of time before active rebellion starts, chewing up the furniture and digging up the yard.

That brings me to humans. A subset of humanity has imbedded negative characteristics; greed, hate, intellectual laziness, and psychopathy to name a few. We can continue to micro analyze why we are where we are at today, but the bottom line is there are too many of us with too many negative characteristics that have too much power and too many of the rest of us succumbed to apathy for too long. Sadly, it all needs to burn down to reset the collective psyche and bring us back to our better selves. These things go in cycles and at present we have lost most of the previous generations that lived through the great challenges of the twentieth century. The collective knowledge of how bad things can get has been lost and we are on our way to our own 21st century lessons. The collective psyche is in a state of disequilibrium because the historical learning has been forgotten and replaced by excessive consumption and twenty-four-hour propaganda (spend, spend, spend and don’t forget to hate each other). So, we are where we are today, and there are no easy fixes other than some level of suffering and destruction in order to create a collective reset. Hopefully we will not have to experience another world war or great depression, but my recommendation is for everyone to prepare for the worst as best you can………
