A lack of pride in our Country [1]

The one thing that distinguishes the white house occupant from other dictators/authoritarians is that others in general have pride in their country, its history, culture etc...yes they do. They abuse power yes, they commit atrocities sure, but they still are proud to be “insert nationality here” and proud of their countries repute (ill or good). Yes, they are also in it for power, the only things doofus is after is money and revenge. He doesn’t care one iota what happens to the country let alone us.
He’s turned our government into a 24/7 informercial, our white house into a front house store, congress into used car salesmen, and our presidency into carnival barker. Nothing about our country is sacred to him, nothing about our history moves him, nothing about our culture penetrates him. What he can sell is his main focus (how can he wreck revenge on those who opposed him a close second).
The man is still selling people he told they only needed 5 pencils for their children, his made in China merch! He’s selling citizenships even as he deports migrants! One must understand he is also exacting revenge against the citizens of the US for having elected a Black man…. Twice with overwhelming numbers. The racist in him will never forgive even his followers for that.
The cheetoh man, will chose money over power, status, acclaim, recognition, pride, everything except perhaps revenge. He will always choose what fills his pockets and he will rub the faces of those who denied him entry into their world the whole time.
So far, he’s managed to fool his band of inconscient followers hat he cares for their wellbeing, but with statements like “that means we’re not losing money” when informed that dock workers and truck drivers were facing layoffs, I’m almost sure that will stop eventually. You can fool people if you’re taking care of them, but you can’t fool people with empty fridges.
Is he senile? Does he have another illness that’s eating away at his brain? Honestly, I don’t know, but I know a lot of his “quirks” are a façade. A lot of the “mistakes” he makes are on purpose. Frankly if there’s a Nobel prize for deception give it to this man. He’s worked hard for that one.
The only mistake I made in my assessment of this era, I really thought there was a line he could cross that would shake the GOP for I thought they would have pride in their country and not wish to see all its history, legacy, reputation washed down the drain…. I was wrong. There’s no line.
