Trump Executive Orders written by AI [1]

I was writing on my diary about the Register of Copyrights Shira Perlmutter being fired after coming out with a report on AI that said research and scholarship were one thing, but scraping copyrighted material to create something in the same market was not okay.

I've had this sneaking suspicion that Trump's Executive Orders were written by AI. There were way too many Executive Orders to go through on January 20th, but there was an article written about it the next day that included this modified screen shot.

The poster pointed out the weird formatting problem on an order opening up Alaska for fossil fuels development.

He put in the greyed numbers that should have been there. I looked at the order today and the formatting was never fixed.

Slate journalist and legal expert Mark Joseph Stern said he thought that Trump's lawyers would avoid sloppy work in the second term, "I see no evidence of that in this round of executive orders. This is poor, slipshod work, obviously assisted by AI."

There is one long description of the benefits of the Gulf of Mexico, in the order naming it the Gulf of America. Lawyer Raffi Melkonian called it an "Answer Sandwich." Grade school level stuff that chatbots are known for.

Here's what it said in the EO:.

Then, here is what happened when Raffi asked a chatbot to write a description for idiots.

There isn't much difference between the two. The evidence is clear on the Alaska and Gulf of Mexico orders.

Then there was the order that said sex was determined at conception, when it happens at about six weeks in the womb.

That had Rep. Sarah McBride, first openly trans in Congress, to note that Trump effectively called everyone a woman. Other phrases were genders include a "person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell." And a "person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell." Fubars. Only AI could make those mistakes. It also seems nobody proof read anything, after the generation.

There was a flurry of articles, all citing the same sources, in just the couple of days after Jan. 20th. Then the story dropped off the radar.

Those obvious uses of AI are now much tougher to find in orders with section headers. They fixed that. It's like they trained the AI on Trump's speeches and interviews and Truth Social posts. There are always Trumpian phrases that show up, in the executive orders, like calling undocumented immigrants, illegal aliens. Like they are "murderers and rapists and criminals." "You won't have a country anymore." "Radical Left Democrats." "The previous administration." "Ideological bias." "Engineered social agendas." "Deep state." "Drain the swamp." "Unnecessary radical green agenda policies."

With attacks on various law firms, all they had to do was to fill in the blanks for the next law firm.

"Establishing Project Homecoming" is rife with Trump phrases. This is a means to get immigrants to self deport, with a concierge service at airports to get them on planes and an "exit bonus," which is not defined as to how much or how it would get to them.

The Victory Day for World War II proclamation also reads like a 7th grader book report. They had to force the AI to say that May 8th, VE-Day, was the end of the war, when it was August 15, 1945, Victory over Japan, VJ-Day.

May 1, Loyalty and Law Day is a perfect example of an AI generated text that is all AI, with Trumpian influence.

Ending Weaponization of the Federal Government is still another that looks like AI wrote it. From Jan. 20th.

Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity is about DEI and it was almost all AI written.

It's a lot easier to spot AI generated orders and proclamations when it's all paragraphs of text without legal citations. But all the legal citations don't have the ยง character in them. I don't think their AI knows how to generate it.

One last one. Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History. The first page accusing others of rewriting history is AI. Then he takes on The Smithsonian, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the American Women's History Museum cannot recognize trans.

Donald is actually using AI more than ever. Reporting for the 25 orders Trump signed on Jan. 20th say 16 of them came straight out of Project 2025. He's moved on from Project 2025. On some of them he may actually talking to the chatbot.

On others, his minions are doing it for him.

That is my theory that Trump is using AI to write executive orders. There were clear examples on Jan. 20th. I think we've seen a bunch of other "Answer Sandwiches."

Trump gets an "F" on his 7th grade output. That is a bit better than when he speaks with a 5th grade vocabulary.

Who is running the White House? The autopen handler or an AI chatbot? He sure didn't ask the AI chatbot about tariffs.
